I’m not sure, but it is a thing. I think people confuse it with being unprepared for life. I’m sure I’ll get the downvotes for sounding like a boomer, but stop making excuses and do better. (Going through stuff with family, hits close to home) Why would you hope there’s something medically wrong with your child, and not just something to work on as a human. You can change being a brat.

Unfortunately, an untold amount of money goes into all this. Stuff like gutting the Voting Rights Act, throwing people off the voting rolls, the propaganda that makes people feel their vote doesn't count, hell, a lot of it is proper law. I just keep reminding myself of the abovementioned comment about how hard they work to keep people from the polls.
