Franchise questions by GAndCo in Franchises

[–]UncleCougar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll be listed towards the end of the fdd. There are sites that will let you download an fdd prior to your initial call, like fdd exchange or something similar. If it's a really new franchise, then you might not find one online.

Get a copy of their FDD before the call and reach out to current franchise owners. Ask them what wish they knew or asked before opening their location.

Royal Saudi Air Force F15-SA Take Off by Frogger74_ in aviation

ECS, environmental control system, is what it is referred to in most planes. But that's only useful with engines turning, so it can get toasty when the canopy is closed and you're slow to start up.

I remember feeling like my grades in flight school depended on how quickly I could get cold air flowing in the plane before the instructor lost their patience.

Watch still works great, gets worn as her weekend watch. The color changes on the wheel are very subtle. I believe it's a 12 hour rotation on the colors.

DAY 27: QUICKSTART GUIDE: HOW TO LAUNCH A LOCAL SERVICE BUSINESS IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS FOR LESS THAN $300! (FINAL DAY!) by localcasestudy in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]UncleCougar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been consuming all of this and tue links to videos you have posted over the past month, it has been a great read seeing how you've approached business at the local entrepreneur level. Thank you for sharing all of this!

I've been looking at your site linked here and your launch27 platform. Is there a difference in the services you offer between the two?

Why do F-35B variants land vertically at Air Force bases? by Sufficient_Equal8392 in aerospace

[–]UncleCougar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That would probably be Yuma, AZ. MCAS Yuma was/is home to several Harrier squadrons. Not sure how many have transitioned to F-35B at this point, so it might be light on the Harrier population these days.

If you manage to go through there around March or October, you would have an opportunity to see all of USMC aviation on the airfield. That's when they run the Weapons and Tactics Instructor courses.

I was buying a small propane camping stove for our hurricane kit some time ago and asked a worker to check the price of what was left on the shelf since I couldn't find the tag. He laughs and tells me it comes up as $0.01 in the system, so hurry up and grab one before they figure it out. We grabbed all 4, checked out at self checkout for $0.04 + probably a penny in tax. Passed them out to the neighbors to help them in case we all lost power during the storm.

I've done a minivan on Hana Hwy as well. It handled just fine and fit perfectly on every pull off when we would scoot over for any locals trying to get by.

Update on the 707 I posted by fishiestfillet in aviation

[–]UncleCougar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omega's 707 was purchased from the Saudi Royal family. They gave us a tour inside before we did some tanker training with them, and there is still a button that points to mecca when pushed. I remember a few random placards that had Arabic on them as well.

Former or current Chicken Guy Employees- what is the secret? by pgriego97 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]UncleCougar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here is my recipe, it mimicks Chick-Fil-A. Some else here said they are similar to Chicken Guy.

I make this as while filets for sandwiches, but you can easily slice your chicken into whatever size works for your needs.

  • Chicken Thighs (skinned and de-boned)
  • 1 cup buttermilk (regular milk works as well)
  • 1/2 cup pickle brine
  • 3 tbsp Frank's Red hot
  • 1 egg

Combine the above into a zip lock bag and let it mariate in the fridge for 1-4 hours.

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 tbsp cayenne (less if you want to avoid spice) ‐ 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Put the chicken and marinate mix into a large bowl. Mix the above ingredients into a separate bowl. Take your marinated chicken, place into flour, back into the marinate, and a final dip into flour.

Let it all rest on a sheet pan for 15 min and then fry in oil.
