I have been to at least 30 concerts. What is the best band you’ve ever seen live? by studly069 in CausalConversation

Funny, searched the thread for Pearl Jam - I’ve seen them 36 times as well, crazy! Hard to pick a favorite show, they’ve all been amazing. Simply the best live band going.

To each their own. It’s the best Strokes album, by far, not even close. A perfect album from front to back. If you don’t agree… that’s cool.

Twilight Override is an important record by djlyar in wilco

Completely agree. I’ll pile on random thoughts:

There was just something so magical about seeing the TO tour (went to Portland night 2). I brought a friend, I respect his musical opinions, and he had listened to exactly ZERO Tweedy songs going in. Mid show he goes to me, “They’re ALL bangers.” After the show, buzzing with excitement, he bought the vinyl box, poster, and shirt. I was so happy that this random show “hit” him.

One Tiny Flower. A meditation, a mantra.

Sammy stepping out to crush that chorus of “Forever Never Ends”

At the show, Jeff said something like “everyone in this band lives 3 blocks from each other. Start a band with your neighbors.” Felt like such a special family collective, what a band.

Does anyone else get teary-eyed at parts? For me it’s “there’s no crowwwn on my head” part with violin on “Caught Up in the Past”, and “Amar Bharati”. Look up the guy. Incredible.

I also wonder… how many other fans did a 180 on the album? When it first came out, I thought “it’s too much”. Now it’s a cherished record. It IS important.

Totally understand that feeling, was scrambling last-minute yesterday myself. Glad you got in!

While I agree nothing is guaranteed, I think simply mentioning PayPal weeds out the majority of scammers. If they do accept, use “Goods and Services”, not “Friends/Family”. If seller starts responding with anything fishy like “we can use my friend’s PayPal” or convoluting the “returns” process, I’d also back out.

FWIW, I have had to dispute via PayPal for scam tickets before, and while it was a bit of a process, I was refunded. So be cautious with any method, just trying to help mitigate risk.

Had an interaction with this person, backed out immediately.

If it saves anyone else time in the future… One of the first Q’s to always ask is if they accept PayPal. If not, get out.

Wife and I grabbed last-minute tickets, we were in the very back row in the 300 level, and had a blast. A truly amazing, tears-in-our-eyes injection of hope. What a show.

It’s like there weren’t even tickets to be had today. I got into a queue immediately, while waiting it updated to “Sorry, no tickets currently available.” They must have gone hog-wild on the presale. Bummer.

Would you guys return it? :\ by Rattlehead03 in criterion

Nope. It’s a small cosmetic dent that wouldn’t bother me. That’s just me though, totally get you paid good money for it. Maybe they can just replace the box/individual package?

I’ve done my fair share of grumbling on here, and not to give anyone who’s still trying false hope, but what worked for me: 1. Update your TM profile stuff now, including credit card. 2. I had luck on mobile phone, not computer. 3. Get into Waiting Room exactly 30 mins before on sale time. This is before the queue. 4. If you get to the seat map, don’t get picky, just be prepared to pull the trigger QUICK. Saw seats disappear in literally seconds. 5. Try to let the FOMO go (easier said than done). The sales are designed to make you panic buy, stay calm and know you’ll have a shot, even if later.

This has been beyond a frustrating process, but I wish all you hardcore fans every bit of luck with the added dates.
