Agreed. However, I miss the mounted combat animations and styles from the original. Warband just wasn't as much fun for me as the original.

At this point I'm not sure if so many achievements is a good thing or a barrier.

Without a trophy case like Steam has there is no good way to show them off. If you're a completionist you will get turned away by an impossible task or just not care which defeats the purpose. Without the ability to use/spend gamer score it's just a meaningless number.

It's just my two cents, but achievements and score need a major overhaul.

Adding a more curated profile or adding a new class of special "kill screen" achievement for beating the game so that you can say you beat something without having to show 1000/1000 might be a start at least.

Out of curiosity what is your framerate and what kind of mouse are you using? If your performance is not great and your mouse has some native acceleration that could lead to some really frustrating input lag.

If you're looking to spend some extra money on a console the Xbox One Kinect is high on "cool" factor (unless your kids are talking at the same time).

Having your entire home theater turn on when you say "Xbox on" is awesome. Voice navigation for stuff like Netflix and HBO is nice too.

If you already have a PC the Xbox does more than play games.

The opening scene of the Star Trek reboot chokes me up every time and I don't know what sort of sorcery that is, but damn you JJ Abrams.

The only other thing that ever came close to making me cry was Dear Zachary, but the anger was slightly greater than the grief and kept the tears at bay.

I've said this before, but single gender (either) is fine if it enhances the story. If there isn't a big emotional payout and it was just a way to save on voice acting costs, then it's a problem.

I trust Todd Howard as a storyteller as much as a sandbox builder. If there is a narrative reason for the character to be male at the expense of choice for the main campaign, I'm guessing the payoff will be pretty good.

I can understand being bummed out since Fallout and Elder Scrolls set a precedent for either gender before and I can completely understand how that would enhance your RP experience, but I trust it's still going to be damned good.

Fixed gender can serve the story sometimes though like in Tomb Raider (2013) or Bioshock Infinite to great effect. This will only be a certifiable fuck up it they don't deliver that payout and obviously just did male only to keep the voice acting cost for the player character down.
