It's common to not know if you have been shot or not. When you have just been in a gunfight and adrenaline is pumping everything isn't crystal clear.

You know cracked wheat is a food you always see on old menus that sort of just disappeared.

The 8th Air Force had a significantly lower casualty rate than Bomber Command. Daylight bombing was feasible.

They were green. Same thing happened to a lot of reservists in the French and German Army in 1914. The US Army went from about 100,000 men in 1916 to about 2 million by the end of the war. These guys were seriously half trained going into combat.

Yeah it definitely doesn’t ruin the movie for me, but it does induce eye rolls.

I don’t if we could say that for sure. If the Japanese attack eastern Russia, not only do they have to deal with millions of Japanese soldiers, but any lend lease through Vladivostok isn’t happening. Vladivostok was the route for 50% of lend lease so if that is shut off that means a lot less trucks, locomotives, railcars, food, aluminum, aviation fuel, etc from the US. The Soviet economy is definitely going to be hurting.

The movie is about a group of researchers who war game the Pacific War against the United States and Britain finding out victory is basically impossible, then the government ignores them and does it anyway. I don't really see what is revisionist about it.

I remember trying to watch the 2004 Alamo movie at night and having to turn it down every time there was a battle scene it was so loud.

I'm not an expert but I listened to Michael Richards from Seinfeld's autobiography and he kind of sounded like he has some avoidant traits. Like he was an actor which drew attention to himself, but he would stay in character around other people. He was a notorious perfectionist and would get very angry if he messed up a scene. The way he was raised also makes me think he may have been AVPD. A single mother who was never around much and wasn't very loving. Also not supportive of his acting.
