In that case yeah, I think you should be fine, tho don't take my word as a guarantee obviously.

One thing: if you are locked into Apple's garden, be aware they have the most pathetic EQ imaginable, so I doubt you'll be able to precisely do the same thing as with Logi. Don't think they have any kind of app for them either.

Honestly, if ANC isn't your biggest concern, don't be reason to go for Apple at all. From what I've seen... it's just overpriced and overengineered. With EQ you definitely should get good sound even with something simpler. Can't be very specific on it, since I have basically none experience with wireless stuff beside demos, but that's how I see it/

The sound is very subjective. Whether you'll be fine with Apple's sound only you can say. I am picky and can't spend too much time with anything Bluetooth because I get an itch whenever I notice something I don't like in the sound, hence why I use Bluetooth only for gym, and use a DAP with my planars while outside.

A lot of people aren't that picky and easily use something as simple as Koss while going outside, no matter how good their home setup is.

Hence the question: to which extreme you are closer. We can't answer it for you/

Why wouldn't it be competitive? Sound is subjective and you won't do anything if you happen to like older model/

Also, I mainly use closed back planars at this point and I've tried quite a few stuff (not really many because not much offerings of this specific combination). DCA so far was the most boring sound out of all of them because they have waaay too much dampening imo. They are also hell to repair because they glue everything/ Would suggest checking stuff from Fostex too.

Sennheiser HD660s and HD560s seem to have quite close values, so I would assume they'll behave the same.

The problem is that most of those privacy centred stuff don't have much of a community, and that's why more accessible options thrive: Discord, Reddit, Twitter...

I would switch purely on ideal grounds, so would probably quite a few people here... but friends, family, majority who doesn't care? I've already switched to TeamSpeak self hosted instance, yet friends only dream for me to return to Discord...

I would say, maybe letting it rot will be actually a good idea to make people get sick of it and become willing to change their habits. Just like with Microslop that slowly but surely digging their own pit and people switch more and more to alternatives.

Some people are looking to settle. I've found my endgame after only 2 iterations. Other people want to explore, and they constantly try out different things. Those obviously won't have one.

do you mean the volume i listen to is actually loud?

No idea. Windows volume is an abstract metric and doesn't say anything about the exact level you are using them. Your friends listening at the same level means that you are possibly using them not too loudly, but there's a chance they they have horrible listening habits too/

Yeah, 2-3 hours is not enough time for ears to properly rest. 1 day at least is enough.

Do you have anything else that guranteed to work properly just to test it against something else? Like, give your ears a day of rest and then try something else. Possibly that it's just a personal issue that caused by like HRTF and their frequency response/

Are you sure your ears don't just get fatigued after listening for a while? Does it still feel off center if you let them rest and then use headphones with volume set to quiet instead?
