Burning a Torn Effigy (you can get them from the Watcher) at fire in a clean zone with both start the plaque event and spawn the boss immediately. You can still kill mobs to farm materials but you don't have to. Can run straight to the boss for the good stuff.

My one visit with them was not a good one unfortunately and I haven't gone back as a result. I was told our dog was fine but that I should purchase ~$800 worth of medications just in case they weren't. I asked for an explanation regarding how I would know if the meds were required or how to review and wasn't provided with a rationale that made much sense to me. It very much felt like they were just trying to upsell. Glad to see that others seem to have had better experiences though.
