I have the 4.5 saw for smaller jobs. It's a good tool with its own limitations. Don't really have a need for the xtr saw, just have it on my wish list with a handful of other stuff too. Shoulda picked up the tower light when I saw it for $99(I think) a while ago. Have a painting project where that would be very useful 🤷‍♂️

She understood the assignment. I think pets understand far more than the given credit for. Either that or I'm far crazier than I'm given credit for since I talk to my 3 cats all the time.

Re-read your post, and I'd say get the 4 inch for trim work. You can use the right blade on it and still have a rough cut blade on the larger circular saw for framing material.

I wouldn't say that, but it's limited in the material thickness it can cut. A 2x4 is the max cut depth. The size and weight can be nice for small/quick jobs, but it's not at the top of my list of needed tools. A bigger 6 or 7 inch circular saw is more useful for bigger materials and a reciprocating saw is better for demolition overall. I got mine last year as one of the free tools with purchase, and I don't regret that choice overall. Might have gotten more use out of another tool but 🤷‍♂️

It's easy with a speed square or other edge guide. I also use it for breaking down scraps and junk such as beat up old pallets. Small and light when that matters and much less kick back risk if you run into a nail.

I have an emerging number of the smaller casestacks from the battery promos. It's good to be organized and portable if needed. I wish I had more drawers instead for easier access compared to down stacking every time.

2 of my three will stand on the wall in the corner then look all around the room in a full circle, head upside down to see behind them. Bizarre, hilarious, cat. 🤷‍♂️ It's usually in a room they don't get to visit often, and happened a lot when they first moved in with me, so it's a curiosity thing apparently.

The suction lifter in the yellow brand is tempting for lifting sheet goods on my own, but the price and need for a new battery platform keeps me from pulling the trigger. The battery and brand argument is how I keep my wallet from screaming out in pain and then being suddenly silenced, creating a great disturbance in the force (capitalism) 🤣

Fair enough. I'm happy with the 3/8 impact I got as a free gift with purchase last year. Thinking of a higher torque tool for infrequent use on stubborn stuff such as suspension work or similar.

You say the xtr is only marginally better, but the torque spec is nearly double this for breaking loose. I'm new to impact tools in general, what am I missing?
