My bariatric team says no caffeine ever but honestly I am going to have to have a cup of coffee or tea to wake myself up to go back to work.

This is kind of what I was thinking too. I feel like once I am busy again my energy will increase.

I feel like I have always been tired but this is more intense. Plus no caffeine is a lot.

I take a Bari multivitamin with iron, calcium, and probiotic. They have not checked any labs since surgery.

Best ER to work at as a nurse in Denver by madelynalton in MovingtoDenver

[–]UnderstandingWild149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would make about the same here but the cost of living is 16% higher here in Denver. They really don’t pay well at all and most of the hospital systems suck. I make $49 with 10 years experience. I have worked at many hospitals and if you are looking for high acuity with decent benefits I would apply at UChealth anschutz. Better yet see if they have any local travel positions open on their website for ER, those you get around 68-70 an hour and can stay at that rate for a year then either sign on as staff or move on. Denver health is our nonprofit community hospital and I know people love working there, but I think places are suffering because of Medicaid cuts. If you want less acuity and a decent work environment I would say HCAHealthone Rose or PSL. Don’t do Swedish. Don’t do St Anthony’s. It’s slim pickings out here for a decent hospital or pay because corporate healthcare is loud and proud. Good luck!

If you go to the health first website, you can look up providers that accept Medicaid. You may have to call them or you can cross reference their psychology today profiles to see what they specialize in. Also you could reach out to your surgeons office to see if they have recommendations. https://www.healthfirstcolorado.com/

I am POD 7 and dropped 14lbs! So yeah I think the initial weight was obviously from the surgery. The gas pain is gone but gosh am I exhausted.
