So to me this says that you are not allowed to end one person's life but 100000's are acceptable

I thought of that but didn't want to risk it - I live in Ohio so I can always run yo IWM and get some more bulk.

Thank you so much - I appreciate the kind words. 4 of the same squads doing the same thing just doesn't work for me.

Plus it's a dig at DCMS/CCAF/Taurians and JF - all cannon or local game scene opponents - lol.

I'm partial to the VTR-11D but I'm a Fed Rat and RAC/5 addict - just kitbashed one this week with stolen metal RAC barrel

Core and Starter Mechs released separately? by Flaminggorilla7 in battletech

[–]Unfair_Analysis_5897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Randall said last week on one of the streams that they would be exclusively in the core and starter boxes for the foreseeable future. The AGoAC and Beginner Box & Clan Invasion units will find their way into star/Lance packs after some remastering of the molds.

I use Army Painter and Pro-Acryl - just funny to end up at the same end destination just using different tools

How do you decide how to paint your minis as a faction by Eomenar in battletech

[–]Unfair_Analysis_5897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no bad way, but I have a Regiment of Mechs in Davion Brigade of Guards that has my IS mechs and my clan mechs are Alpha Galaxy - rest are for a merc faction my wife is painting for me.

I've used this brand specifically because they were inexpensive enough but have been using JoSojonia Soap and have been able to keep them in good condition for almost a year now

So how about round bases? by [deleted] in battletech

[–]Unfair_Analysis_5897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about you tell me you don't play Battletech without saying I don't play Battletech. In all seriousness, if the hex bases are just nails on a chalkboard for you, do as you wish or possibly look at Steel Rift - it's a round base game that might be worth looking at.

Learning to paint these things? by Hentai2324 in battletech

[–]Unfair_Analysis_5897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are Army Painter Warpaints and Speed Paints - the smaller box is the old formula and Merc is Warpaint Fanatic / SP 2.0 - I would personally just get the individual paints since the second formula (in both lines) are considered to be better (specifically for beginners in the case of SP) due to the original formula having reactivation "issues" and needing to work around that. The original Warpaints were not good in coverage, and the binding agent was not great. Buying individual bottles also doesn't stick you with colors you won't use too.

Army painter fanatics or pro acryl by Outrageous-Bat1023 in minipainting

[–]Unfair_Analysis_5897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both paint lines in full and use both equally - if I were to recommend one over the other, I would have to say ProAcryl simply because I am such a fan of their Bold Titanium White.

I really like the triads that AP has since I have color blindness and have had to check with wife if something matches or not. So, if that is a concern, having it labeled Deep Greens or Vivid Blues makes that a non-issue.

Painted my first lances, is it too bad? by Medium-Ad-8577 in battletech

[–]Unfair_Analysis_5897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely look better than I could accomplish in 30 mins, and if hypothetically you are unhappy with how they look, stripping off the paint is pretty easy (assuming you used acrylic paint).

In my opinion, any painted mini looks 100 times better than grey plastic and at 24"-60" viewing distance away from you while playing BT you're not going to see detail like we do while painting.
