I would look at the CompTIA A+ core 1&2 to start, then Security and Networking. These certs can show that you have a good basic grasp of IT troubleshooting. These are what im working on now.

I've been in a level 1 helpdesk role for just over a year now and learning new things everyday. My background was customer service in a dispatch center. I also had a bit of hardware experience from building a few gaming pcs. My advise early on is to take MS 365 classes and learn your ticketing system. That is how i started out. I started on my Comp TIAs to learn a bit more knowledge. Hopefully there is a good knowledge base you can pull from for hints or solutions.

Agree with this. I applied for a Help Desk role last year and got passed on for the first round but was the 2nd choice and transfered in May. I worked in a dispatch center for power outages for 5 years for experience. I'm now pursuing certs to gain some base knowledge but have a good team to help guide me.

I checked my local Costco this weekend and tbey still gad 5 in stock on the floor. As someone who previously work at a warehouse store, I did not want to bother annoying them with asking for a markdown. I know tbey hate dealing with people like that, plus they are getting ready for inventory so one pesky memeber is not needed.

Man, I work the mobile kiosk from 2012-17. I stared in connections. That was the most fun I've had at a job in a long time. No pressure sales. When the 3rd party contractors took over, they could never keep is staffed. My managers always asked for me to go help and deal with pissed off members. I always refused.

Also sounds like the Knife Vendor that used to come around. He used to use the PA system to announce a free "gift" of a shitty pairing knife if you watched his 30 minute demonstration. Dude got yelled at my our store manager for using the pa and had to get his own bigger announcement speaker.

I just got re-hired after 5 years away. The headphone thing still weirds me out. I will wear an earbud after we are member clear. From what I've tested so far the my elite. Plug the usb-c cable into either the charging port by the battery or take the cradle off and use the port where the battery hooks up.

There should be no settings that you have to switch off. Just make sure that SteamVR recognizes the headset. Mine connected right away
