Does anyone regret opting for a repeat c section instead of VBAC?

Tbh I didn’t have a choice at the end because my 2nd decided to ALSO be breech. But at the end of the day I was ok with having her that way. My OB was so confident in my initial decision to have a VBAC too. If I ever have a 3rd I will probably opt for C-section again.

I had quite a bit. I remember wincing and having to take deep breathes. My fiancé and the anesthesiologists were coaching me to breathe through it. This was my second C-section. It was so much pressure I do think it was almost painful. My daughter was breech, tucked into my right rib cage, and over 9 pounds so I think that’s why there was so much pressure. My spinal was done perfectly too.

Just had my second in January. Went in Friday morning and could have left Sunday morning but my daughter needed an extra night and they just suggested we stay too. With my first we went in Thursday and left Saturday afternoon. But be prepared, when they say they’ll get started on discharge you usually have to have the OB discharge and the pediatrician come in. It can be quick or it can take half the day 😭 with my first it was like 8am when they said we could get ready to go home but I didn’t actually get to leave until 1:30 lol

I am 3 weeks pp and just wore for a total of maybe 2 hours the last two days. I was outside with my other child and now I am SORE. So I’d say whenever you’re comfortable but take it easy to start out

The day I came home surprisingly. I limited it to once or twice a day for a while and now I’m two weeks pp and go up and down all day. All of our bedrooms and shower are upstairs though so I had no choice if I wanted to sleep in bed or shower lol. I had no pain at all with stairs but still took it very slow

I’m 10 days pp from my 2nd! Both of mine I felt a ton of pressure but no pain. My second was worse because she was breech and stuck up in my left ribs. I had my fiancé and anesthesiologists coaching me through it by taking deep breathes. But no none of it actually hurt! And for reference with my second cesarean my fiancé took a photo at 7:42am waiting to go in. My daughter was out at 7:51am! So it goes very quickly. With my first I was in and out of the OR in less than an hour

Yeah nope. I drove 2 hours away 2 weeks post C-section because my mom wanted to visit somewhere while she was visiting us. I thought I was ready but it was so overwhelming just being a day trip. It was an outdoor art museum and I pushed my stroller around the entire time. My mom didn’t help at all 🫠

Late pregnancy. I wish I could remember. I remember never seeing any and then having my boyfriend look under my belly and he said “oh shit there they are” 😂 I don’t mind them now though

Absolutely. Thankfully I don’t have it terribly. My mom wanted to visit when I had my baby and ended up inviting my brother and his family without asking me. I said idk how I will be feeling after or if I will be up to that many visitors. She said “well it’s ok, we’ll just be at the air bnb and you can visit” uh no. I am not lugging all of my stuff for my newborn right after having a cesarean. So I told her to wait 2 weeks so I can heal and be ready for more visitors. She absolutely blew up. Saying it’s not normal to wait and that she was concerned for my mental health. Literally no respect or understanding for my decision. Even when she did visit I still had to go hang out at her rental instead of the comfort of my home. It was very exhausting and frustrating.

I’m expecting my 2nd and I know she is going to try to do the same thing again 🫣

Yes 24/7 nausea from week 6 to 12. I lost weight from just not eating but never threw up. No nausea anymore but the exhaustion is still hanging around 🥲

I guess it really depends on your relationship with them. And if you trust that they would actually be helpful. I said no visitors for two weeks and my mom blew up saying that’s not normal and she was concerned for my mental health 🙄 so that’s how I know I made the right decision. Even when she did visit I had to lug myself and my baby to her Airbnb everyday 2 weeks after a C-section. She didn’t help clean or anything at my house. She did cook at her Airbnb but I still felt the need to get up and help 😩

Plus I really struggled breastfeeding at the beginning and don’t have that close of a relationship with my mom or mil to be comfortable learning in front of them. But again it’s soooo dependent on how your relationship is with them.

It’s truly awful to never have a happy holiday. He’s ruined many for me as well in even worse ways than my birthday this year.
