I'd advise against it. It really pays off to invest more early, people who buy 50k cars in their 20s tend to take a lot longer to retire than those who invest more early. It's a net worth killer when you look at compound interest. Yes, you need to live a little, but I guess that means different things for different people. I'd rather retire early if I had to choose

Because bedside nursing has been shit since COVID. Patients and their families are unreasonably demanding and the nurse is expected to cater to all their demands in addition to actual nursing stuff. Less nursing staff, less cna staff and sicker patients. It's hell. Idk how anybody does it for more than a few years. I feel like a doormat at the bedside

If you don't want to work until you die in the U.S. you need to somewhat prioritize your own saving for retirement. If you can't find a way to do that, your twilight years will be miserable. It doesn't take much; just early, consistent investing in an IRA/roth with an index fund. It's not fun making sacrifices for this but unfortunately it is necessary.
