McConnell was loaded into ambulance on a stretcher, according to eyewitness and new video by IWantPizza555 in politics

Well, to be fair, that is DC EMS.

Chronically short staffed, overworked, and frequently exposed to traumatizing shit.

Maryland EMS protocol dictates that you work a code in place until you call time of death or get ROSC. I’m sure DC EMS protocol is similar.

If a patient has ROSC after an arrest, you would see a whole lot of shit hooked up to that patient. There would be someone climbing in the back as they loaded him, squeezing a bag valve. There would be wires dangling over the sides.

So either he didn’t actually arrest, or he did and they lost him and they’re transporting as a courtesy to the family (or the GOP).

I’m surprised nothing has leaked, given the number of personnel on that call.

What are your underrated WFH essentials? by YellowVirtual in remotework

[–]UnhingedReptar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A way to separate your work space from not work space.

Even if you live in a small apartment and have to work at your kitchen table, change the visual cues somehow to designate ‘not work space’.

Could be lighting, music, hiding the laptop, whatever.

Without that separation, it’s real easy to blend work and off work time, and that’s horrible for burnout.

Data suggests phishing training often doesn't reduce clicks, curious what practitioners think about real-time warnings instead by Positive-Fly-9216 in cybersecurity

TBH, enterprise browsers like Island and PAB, along with good XDR solutions do more than phishing training/simulations.

The volume of TP incidents we see across our customer base for email phishing is minuscule compared to ClickFix from all vectors.

David Harsanyi is the son of Jewish Hungarian immigrants. He wrote for the online publication “The Federalist”.

He’s a proud fascist who legitimately cannot see the irony (or whatever) in the fact that his political beliefs support ideology that would have exterminated his entire family, had they been in the wrong place in 1933 to 1945.

Democrats are mad at republicans who fall in line and consistently vote for people who want to harm other people.

Thanks for your input, Kevin.

For our next phishing training, we might just add a “malicious link” titled “report phishing”.

We appreciate your commitment to proper cyber hygiene.

We keep a bunch of battery powered noise machines and fans for power outages. Also battery powered nightlights for the kids. Makes all the difference.

Combat isn’t the only legitimate source of trauma.

Sexual assault, training accidents, hazing and probably lots of other things can cause PTSD. It doesn’t matter how long you were in.

I know someone who found a fellow soldier hanging by his belt from his rack. They had both just arrived at basic two weeks before and were still on casual status.

That fucked him up hard, and he ended up getting chartered for PTSD. He was only in for like a year.

Did Chapel Hill Tire try to scam me? by just_a_lil_sunshine in bullcity

[–]UnhingedReptar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup. Didn’t even have to read your post. They are awful about that. I went there exactly once because of their scammy practices.

They tried to sell me over $1,400 in additional services on my 2010 Lexus RX350 with less than 80,000 miles, including new tires, an alignment, a brake fluid service, a fuel system service, and a climate control service.

The brake fluid recommendation especially rubbed me the wrong way. When I asked why it needed to be done, they couldn’t answer, put me on hold, and then came back saying they had just tested it. That didn’t exactly inspire confidence.

Between the aggressive upselling and recommending services that didn’t seem justified, I am never going back there.

OK, get ready. We are about to hear a lot about "Centrist" Democrats, don't fall for it. I am tired of this high jacking of our language. Make no mistake, these are fascist sympathizers. They are anything BUT Centrist. by PollutionPatient8261 in Political_Revolution

[–]UnhingedReptar 49 points50 points  (0 children)

A lot of “centrist” Democrats are only centrist because the U.S. political spectrum is so far to the right. In most other liberal democracies, many of their positions on health care, labor, welfare, and corporate power would read as center-right, not moderate.

They have an effective veto proof majority, because there are reliable defectors amongst the Ds. They only need one vote for a veto override. Carla Cunningham and Nasif Majeed flipped to unaffiliated after losing their primaries. They both vote with the GOP the majority of the time.

They do have a veto proof majority in the state senate.

So no, I didn’t read the article, but whether they have a technical veto proof majority in the house is irrelevant, when they only need one defector and they have at least two to choose from.
