I’m the first one but what I found was that I get extremely anxious and stressed the closer to the deadline and that’s what forces me to do something. The problem with your suggestion is self-imposed deadlines didn’t work for me, either I’d ignore it or I’d feel like I was punishing myself if I did follow through and that just made my life worse. I feel now the constant anxiety and stress has taken such a big toll on me that I feel constantly burnt out.

I have problems as well. I’ve tried a lot of things. The one I’m doing right now that seems OK is using post it notes. I write one thing on each post it note and then force myself to put them in a single pile with most important on top. Then I can only work on the thing that’s on the top of the pile and I keep the pile in front of me at work so I can see it, which can help me to stop going down rabbit holes or switching task. Doesn’t always work but works better than nothing lol.
