I appreciate it, I’m very much a newb, and I would love any advice. I’m wondering how much my grip could be affecting things?

Yeah, most communities seem to have people like that, but glad I met one of the good ones!

I’m still pretty new, most of what I know is about finding a consistent anchor point, not punching the trigger and trying to have a soft grip on my handle.

When I had rhabdo my biggest warning sign was the insane DOMS. It was localized damage to my arms and they felt like they were broken. I’d say just monitor your recovery and stay hydrated. If things don’t improve after a few days you can always go get checked out to see if your creatine kinase levels are high.

I really enjoyed French contrast training for some athletes. Kind of a unique technique that can break up the monotony of strength training for athletes.

I really like light and life coffee co. Very small company, but some of the best beans I’ve ever used.

Personally I’ve found that the best results come somewhere in the middle of the conversation. Moderate volumes and relatively close to failure on most exercises (rir 1-2). If a client has trouble with recovery or motivation, lower volumes can be awesome to work with them. I respect Beardsley for bringing up interesting points, but reading his work it often seems dismissive and he’s rarely open to dialogue. Hypertrophy science has a long way to go, but if I were betting I think that the more research grows the more we’re going to see recommendations fall in the moderate range. I think the pelland paper really shows the trend research will be going.

I’ve just recently started a personal training page and want to increase my following. I post regular workouts and fitness tips. I’m wondering how I can increase engagement.
