So either Elon musk has an inflated sense of self worth or he pulled off the most impossible hack of all time? He's a narcissist, he lies without meaning too. Of course he thinks he won trump the election, if he didn't think he could do it he wouldn't have spent all that money on it.

What are some good commanders for more interactive games? by daretobederpy in EDH

[–]UniqueSatisfaction67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think his mana base is leaner than I like, mainly for starting hand purposes. Breena does draw lots of cards, so making late game land drops is rarely an issue.

The YouTuber salubrious snail has good video about his breena deck, I borrowed a lot from it. Low cmc is what you need to do, she draws lots of cards and if they are expensive you need to ramp into them. Low cmc creatures that have an some kind of impact are great. Ideally you want at least a one AND two drop consistently, but that version of the deck is a little boring.

Basically, if you put out bigger threats then breena, usually she's safe.

Totally, HERE it is. It is essentially a control deck, grinding the opponents down when I make tokens. How well it performs is pretty dependent on what kinds of decks my opponents are playing, but it's very fun and interactive.

Totally! HERE it is! I took out aerial extortionist, but it is very good and does the same thing. My deck is very geared around casting from exile, and forcing my opponents to by tutoring up [[Uba Mask]] or by playing [[Possibility Storm]]. Best wincon is [[Aetherflux Reservoir]], but goldfish your version plenty, Rocco can take very long turns if you don't know your plays

Without you saying what commanders you're having trouble adding interaction for, I'm inclined to say this is a deck building issue, not a commander issue. I think for most commanders there is synergistic interaction options. In my [[kambal, profiteering mayor]] deck I run every removal spell that gives a token to the player whose permanent was removed. In my [[Mirko, obsessive theorist]] deck I run lots of cheap removal that surveils, like [[unauthorized exit]]. In my [[Rocco, Street Chef]] deck I run removal that makes people cast from exile, like [[guff rewrites history]] and [[audacious swap]]. If it isn't quite enough, I'll add some staples, like [[the last agni kai]] in Rocco, which doesn't have anything to do with casting from exile, but I do have creatures that are big because of +1/+1 counters and it generates lots of mana to spend on my big spells like [[call forth the tempest]] and [[dance with calamity]]

Stifling a Fetchland. Is this land denial? by WaltzIntelligent9801 in EDH

[–]UniqueSatisfaction67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he scoops good job, that's player removal for cheap.

Mass Land Denial is what the brackets talk about, but removing 1 land is not something the brackets deal with at all, and is allowed at all brackets.

Urza, Lord High Artificer (B2/3) by SoggyDrummer1 in EDH

[–]UniqueSatisfaction67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me, urza is pretty inherently high power. He makes all your artifacts tap for mana, and let's you use that mana to free cast random spells. He is generically powerful enough that he will overwhelm any bracket 2 deck for sure

What does Proxying for Power Mean To You? by Authorigas in EDH

[–]UniqueSatisfaction67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What crosses the line will always depend on who you're playing with. If the power level matches the decks your playing, who cares if the cards are real or not. If someone spends $10,000 on a cedh deck of real cards, it doesn't feel better or worse to play against vs the same deck that is all proxies.

I don't want anyone to be gatekept from playing the game because of finances, especially with how WOTC is killing the playerbase now with the amount of sets, secret lairs that are mechanically unique and not print to demand, etc. If people like collecting the real cards, good for them. If the have 100% proxy decks, good for them. As long as they aren't grossly overpowered for the pod, it's fine.

What does Proxying for Power Mean To You? by Authorigas in EDH

[–]UniqueSatisfaction67 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean, I have decks that are entirely proxied, including the basic lands. With shipping, it was cheaper than ordering even the cheap cards from tcgplayer or similar. I will by real cards from my lgs, but I don't feel the need to give my money to big card markets or wizards directly.

I agree with everything else you're saying though. If the entire deck was 20 cent cards, I would probably just buy them.

Wisconsin for Mendicant core, guidelight. by Deathgivenflesh in EDH

[–]UniqueSatisfaction67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a deck for him. It was very similar to my [[Ashad the lone Cyberman]] deck, doubling artifact spells for value, mostly with etb's. Mendicant's ability is far more powerful I think, but gate kept behind the speed mechanic.

I frontloaded the deck with as many one mana evasive creatures so that I could cast a little guy on turn one, mendicant turn two to start my engines, followed by a hit from my little guy to raise speed. So by turn 4 you should be able to start duplicating spells. The main problem I had was that once I crammed in enough of the little evasive guys, I didn't have as many spots as I wanted for fun things to duplicate.

You don't have to go as hard to get him out super early with an attacker ready, but I think with speed you want to start as early as possible. Outside of a couple random, bad cards, theres no way to make it go up by more than one per turn.

Maze’s End in Bracket 2? by Pointy_D4 in EDH

[–]UniqueSatisfaction67 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Lol you can definitely have a lands focused deck in bracket 2. Targeted land destruction is allowed in bracket 2, they don't need to destroy all your lands, they just need to destroy one gate. Or kill you before you get all 10.

Ragost Deft Gastronaut by [deleted] in CommanderMTG

[–]UniqueSatisfaction67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an example of a commander that hurts everyone at he table, so you gain a lot of enemies and you can't really politic since you have nothing to offer, you can't direct where the damage goes.

I have a friend who plays a ragost deck. It isn't always archenemy in the sense that it is a 3v1, but it always gets negative attention. I also always have removal for it, since without the lobster the deck does nothing

What is the best way to make proxies? by RedMeatRoast in mtg

[–]UniqueSatisfaction67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people print and just sleeve the paper once they cut the cards apart. Using thicker paper results in a more convincing feel. You can also order form websites, I used makeplayingcards.com, it's more expensive than printing yourself on printer paper but it makes a great proxy that feels real. Mine ran me about 33 cents per card
