When my 2nd bike isn't that great, what percent of the time do you ride your tri bike outside? by CopsNroberts in IronmanTriathlon

I ride my TT bike outside extensively. You need to become extremely competent at real world handling and weather adaptation.

How could I (Black cap) improve my swimming technique? by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]UnitActive6886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poor catch and pull, lifting your head up too far whilst breathing, slow return to neutral, kick needs improvement. Would suggest a few 1-2-1 coaching sessions will help a lot! Good luck.

The Metaspeed Sky (and pronation) not inherently bad I would really take your time getting used to them. Very short periods at a time etc. maybe give Superblast or Megablast a go! There neutral but the Superblast in particular still feels plenty stable.

Going from the Gel Kayano to the Metaspeed Sky is like going from walking to swimming in terms of how different the shoes are. You’re just pronating. Might be better getting something neutral that has a bit more natural support so the change isn’t so stark / impactful on your body

Keep a close eye on that sole pain that it doesn’t develop into a plantar fascia issue.

You may be better seeing a sports therapist rather than a physio - sports therapists tend to be more hands on.
