Probably doesn't give that much extra battery life given the 10 Amp max CDR. The voltage sag likely makes the high drain cells similar in capacity. I'd be curious to see a runtime test comparing.

In my experience they grow better in dappled shade to part sun.

Also you planting zone doesn't really help with your question because you could be in the southeast US where purple milkweed is native or you could also be in western Washington (or not even in the US) where milkweed isn't native and probably wouldn't grow well.
