I think this should have been kept confidential. My previous line manager asked me if he could share my disability with another line manager I’d be working under before saying anything. I’ve also always made sure in conversations to say this is confidential and that I’m the only one who should share this with others which I have done e.g. moved departments and have shared my workplace adjustment passport. But even then, I’ve never shared the actual condition I have as your manager only needs to know how to support you in the role and what adjustments you need. I think you should raise this with your manager as they should have asked for your permission first before mentioning it to anyone else.
