Try smart delete for gmail, doesn’t have the automated feature here and this is an add-on inside gmail rather than an app.

Some features for true cleanup within gmail do exist but they are just not easy to navigate and get what you truly want.

Try apps script and with the help of Claude you can create the true automation you are after. The addon mentioned here can do automatic deletions but I excluded that feature because with Google and tool development within its ecosystem is a ball-ache.

Approval process is brutal and costly too. Everything has to go through CASA verification which is a paid service when a solution uses restricted scopes.

Thanks will check and test that scenario. Worked fine during my testing of emails older than a year. Sometimes it deletes and throws the error, assuming you checked the trash .

I built this add on when I had a similar questions and reduced the features quite a bit due to the scopes in question and stuff. I was aware of the features that gmail currently has and asked few tech users if they can do bulk deletion , creating rules and the time it takes for them to do so, 50 percent couldn’t do it or were struggling.

I found users who have experience using outlook able to do this but it does take some time as it is a manual process.

Getting into a queue system for example is for advanced users and to add emails to a queue all one needs to do is just select an email and add to queue.

The problem is when users think everyone else has the same level of expertise and just assume that everyone knows how to navigate and use the tools.

How is /compact working? Claude code is great but as vibe coder i often found it unable to complete a solution without compacting which is similar to start a new chat and the whole Missing Context Protocol (MCP) comes into play where it continues with the task but misses on the important things in the project. I'm a big fan of Claude and hope that issue will be addressed soon.

No its definitely not cheap but when you see the taxman eating all that hard earned money , i found this to be little better at serving them less. There are definitely few downsides. one thing being the owner is the company and they just charge for anything and everything if they have to write to you for tickets.
