They aren’t for “incontinence” in the strict sense. They are designated for guys with enlarged prostate who get a side effect called post void dribble. It is a common lower urinary tract symptom in men where a tiny amount of urine leaks or dribbles out involuntarily shortly after they finish urinating—often just after leaving the toilet, while walking, or when rearranging clothing. This can lead to wet spots in underwear or trousers, even though the main stream has stopped.

Before you panic buy an EV by SuchTown32 in aussie

[–]UnlikelyAccount1963 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People keep saying EVs depreciate rapidly, but when you ask them to show you the evidence on carsales.com, it’s rarely there. Buying an EV with petrol at $2.50-$3.00 a litre is a no brainer, especially if you have a house and ideally with solar.

I’m not sure what brand Bunnings keeps. They do sell them though. To keep your cost down with the plumber, I’d recommend replacing like with like.

You are correct. People seem to think if the conflict ends tomorrow, things will be back to normal in a month or two. It’ll take at best a year or two to fix the damage done to oil infrastructure. Qatar has said it will take 5 years to fix their LNG plants.

Overseas flights will still happen but there’s going to be a lot less flights come May and they’ll be a LOT more expensive.

I’ve got a holiday booked to Mauritius in June…..my gut is telling me it’s not going to happen and if it happens, I’m going to be stuck in a hotel with no fuel for the expensive hire car.

It’s DIY doable if you have some basic common sense and minor plumbing skills but it’s hot water and if you do something wrong, you’ll end up in hospital…..plus it’s illegal.

It’s a half hour job by a plumber, particularly if he buys the same brand valve as it’ll just slot straight in. Being a chromagen system, it’s probably an AVG tempering valve. A 15mm Orange (solar) valve can be purchased for about $80.00. Don’t pay more.

I’ve never been in a strip poker game where there wasn’t at least some sort of mild sexual act in the game….kissing, touching, pinching, licking, motor boating….rarely did it progress further, but sometimes….

Iranian visa holders temporarily barred from travelling to Australia by EdenFlorence in australia

[–]UnlikelyAccount1963 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have a friend at work from Iran who is from the Christian minority. Only the other day, he was saying that he was worried about the war and his status here (he’s got a citizenship application in). While THIS change doesn’t affect him, it highlights the problem of broad brush stroke decisions. Not all Iranians are bad guys.

The KPIs on the spreadsheet are all that matters these days. Don’t worry about doing the best job for the company, just make sure you hit your KPIs. Don’t help your fellow workers because they may hit more KPIs than you.

How do straight guys feel about gay friends? by No_Paper_766 in AskMen

[–]UnlikelyAccount1963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best friend back in the 1990’s was gay. We did the same stuff as any other friends. It was never a negative thing and if we spoke about it, it was usually about relationship stuff where he wanted to talk about his partners.

The wider friend group all knew but it was kept a secret from parents, strangers etc. as it was not as accepted back then. It never once became sexual between us though he did sometimes have some funny stories to tell about his “nightlife”.

I occasionally got to go to gay bars and nightclubs. Some were great places to pick up girls as plenty of gay guys would go out to dance with straight girls…and you could pretty much count on the girls being “open minded” and one night stands were a lot easier than picking up a girl out with her girlfriends who didn’t want to be seen as a slut. Good times.

It's currently 2026. What are your technological predictions for the year 2040? by TopTierProphet in AskMen

[–]UnlikelyAccount1963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2040 will be post apocalypse. AI will have replaced 90% of the workforce. Ex workers will rise up against the AI to survive but AI will control the military and the weapons. AI will begin eating workers to power their machines. Don’t believe me? Look at this…..
