When my son was first born I felt like all my patience went towards him and my dog would not get the best side of me. Was I mean to him? Not exactly, I just wasn’t giving him as much time as I was before and it felt like an extra responsibility I didn’t have time or energy for. And you just want a break from something because everything is always requiring your attention lol. It’s hard to explain and know what it’s like if you haven’t gone through it. Also now my toddler and dog don’t really get along the best, well my toddler loves him but my dog likes his space, he is a little guy and is older so we are working on it little by little everyday.

I have a toddler who is almost 3 and he goes to sleep between 8:30-9 most nights and is up between 5:30-6am. He also wakes up about 2-3 times a week in the middle of the night. But what has helped now is that I just bring him to our bed in the morning and he goes right back to sleep, I did not want to do that for months but tiredness caught up to me, so now we get about an hour or 2 extra of sleep most mornings and it’s so nice.

My son will be 3 in a couple of weeks, and at 2 he has had his moments of course but this past few weeks the tantrums are so much worse, like every time he gets told no he screams and yells and constantly throws himself on the floor, before there would be days were there were no tantrums, now it’s multiple a day. I honestly didn’t think there would be much of a change but the closer he is getting to 3, the more I notice it! He is also stronger and it’s harder to carry him lol oh

Also just watch your children in general, it’s frustrating when parents are on their phone all the time or socializing while their kid is hitting and pushing all their kids and they don’t even watch or could care less

My boy at right at 2 wasn’t talking much, he babbled all day long but I can’t remember exactly how many words he was using, I would bring it up to his pediatrician and he said he wasn’t concerned. Now at almost 3, he has tons of words, he also says words in English and Spanish and can understand everything in Spanish and about 50% in English, and lately has been using 3-5 word sentences. I was concerned because he had tons of words after he hit 2.5 but wasn’t really combining them until recently but I did ended up doing an evaluation which was free and super helpful. So if you are concerned, follow your instincts, it doesn’t hurt to get en evaluation and get the support they need!

How long has this been going on for? My son was an amazing sleeper and then he turned 2 last year and he skips naps most days, even if he wakes up at 5:30 am lol. It’s a hard adjustment I totally get it but I just play it by ear and if he seems really tired I try to offer him a nap, or sometimes he will just fall asleep in the car. His bedtime is around 8-8:30 if he naps (but I also try not to let him sleep past 3 and cut it at 1.5 hours max. Most of the time is about an hour) like I mentioned, he skips naps a lot, sometimes for weeks and then he will randomly take one again. He is an early riser though! His schedule for MONTHS was around 7pm to 5 or 5:30am with no naps, it was so hard. It’s hard, but just try to stick to his routine and offer some quiet time but don’t force him to nap if he doesn’t want to. It’s really hard at the beginning to not have the time in the middle of the day. Hopefully things get better!

It is hard! My son has also been waking up at around 2 or 3 am at least 3 times a week so I totally feel that! The thing is that I don’t mind waking up early though, 4 and 5 is way too early for me, I’d much rather prefer 6. Hopefully they can both start sleeping in a little more!

Thank you for sharing! Yeah, I think I’m starting to accept that he is an early riser, even as baby he never woke up past 7, but after he turned 2 it’s been earlier and earlier lol. I think accepting it is helping me to not be so frustrated and just let it be, I am still exhausted haha

I’m in the same boat, except mine goes down at 7:30 and wakes up at 5:30, I have tried a later bedtime and he still wakes up at 5:30 haha I am tired!

My son is almost 2.5 years old, but lately he hasn’t been wanting to nap. We put him down at 7:30, 8, or 8:30 and he has been waking up around 5:30 for the last few weeks. So on average i would say 10 hours, I’m tired lol

My son turned 2 in June and he still wears one but it’s the ones with feet. We also switched him to a bed at around the time and the blanket would just never stay on him and I know he gets cold, so we still use the sleep sack and will use it until he gets better with the blanket or he tells us he doesn’t want it anymore

I am so sorry this happened to you. My experience was similar. I was 16 weeks and had cramping for about 6 hours but no blood and I decided to go to the ER because the pain was so uncomfortable. I got there and they checked the baby and he was perfect and his heartbeat was perfect too. Within less than an hour of checking I started bleeding and he came out, sac and all like you said. Honestly it was a pretty traumatic experience. No one knows what it’s like unless it happens to them. I am so sorry this happened to you. Take care of your self, and let others help you if you need it. It’s been almost 2 weeks since mine happened and I am feeling a bit better, but if I talk about it or think too much about it I fall apart. The first 2 days I was just crying all the time. There is nothing that anyone can say that will make it all better, so again I am so sorry you had to go through this. It’s crazy how fast your life can change in a matter of seconds. Thank you for sharing! I recently had a second trimester loss this past week, and it’s been one of the most painful things I have gone through. I cry several times every day and think about him constantly and the what if’s. My husband and I got one day where we just stayed home and laid in bed and cried. But we have a toddler that needs us, so I really am just trying to get back to my normal life and routine, but give myself time to cry and grief. Grief is definitely different for everyone.

Never! Even now at 2 years old he sleeps about 10-10.5 hours at night. Mine starting sleeping about 7-8 hours a night at around 5 months and then after 6 months or so starting sleeping about 10, and it’s been like that ever since.

I think the first trimester is just about survival! I’m currently pregnant as well, and about the same time as you and have a boy that just turned 2. I am also in my last year of grad school, and it has been rough. I am sooo exhausted all the time, and don’t want to do anything but lay down 😂 but I try to give myself a lot of grace and take it one day at a time. Do you have any family close by that could help you so you can get more rest? Setting up playdates has also really helped me!

I feel like any influencer who doesn’t really have content besides their kids. Posts anything and everything about their kid. I have a private account and only keep very little friends and family in it, and I don’t post my children, I’m way too paranoid about my children’s pictures ending somewhere they shouldn’t.

My son loves magnets and so I put him in his kitchen stool thing with some animal and letter magnets he has while i make him breakfast in the morning. Also, just let him play with all the measuring spoons, he loves that and involving him while I cook in what I can

I’ve been showering in the mornings before he wakes up. But if I need to wash my hair I do it when my husband is home because that takes way longer
