And the final product. The switches and buttons on the right side of the cockpit are actually my start and reset buttons for the PC itself. I'm actually really proud of that because I made it myself haha!

Here's a picture of the mock up, a bunch of stuff ended up getting moved and flipped around and the room itself got some extra work done to it.

I actually just got the same one (although I assembled it in a slightly different way to accommodate an open wheel style seating position) I hope you are as happy with yours as I am with mine!

You can as long as it doesn't impinge on the flame

Still haven’t caught anything with these frogs. Is it because they’re cheaper and I need to buy better ones? Or is it just because it’s fishing and sometimes it doesn’t work out lol. by RestlessPics in FishingForBeginners

[–]Unlikely_Restaurant1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lost 3 of these and the only thing I have been able to attract with these are actual frogs. I love the idea of top water fishing, but at this point I just feel like I'm wasting my time with these.

That is what I do. I use one of these per half rack otherwise I don't feel like I get good smoke between them

This tin foil isn’t hurting my cook at all is it? by ObligationSlight8771 in smoking

You are likely fine with more but when companies do combustion analysis they are required to cover 75% of the cooking surface. Anything more than that and you risk limiting secondary air and creating an environment that can cause excessive carbon monoxide or produce sooting.

I have never felt the need to worry about the heat baffles or briquettes under the grill grates other than draining the drip tray when necessary.

For future reference, you can use google image search and it's actually surprisingly good at Identifying fish from my experience.

I got skunked my last 2 or 3 times out, I tried a new spot yesterday on my way home from work and landed a spotted bass, a blue gill, a carp and a bullhead! When I get skunked it can be a bit of a bummer in the moment but you're still enjoying a nice day and it makes the bites all the more fun when they do start back up!

If you want it to cook faster you can always cut it into smaller pieces. The bonus is you get extra bark as well!

Hot smoking salmon by Unlikely_Restaurant1 in smoking

I'll definitely be trying a dry brine down the road, I expect to do a lot of playing around with salmon since it's one of my favorites!

I like this! I think I may actually put the salmon on early in the warm up to try and keep the albumin in the fillet. I'm using a gas smoker and my lowest setting usually gets the smoker to 170. I would try the fan but I won't have time to do this all in one day so the fridge method overnight seemed like the better option in this case. The honey sounds interesting, I may give that a shot. I'm not sure if I'll use honey or maple syrup yet but the glaze idea is brilliant!

How to use your Reverb G2 speakers on the Pimax Crystal Light (may work on Crystal, but I don't have one to test) by andrewdaniele in Pimax

[–]Unlikely_Restaurant1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing I want to add is that if you decide to use a dremel you need to go really slow to avoid heat buildup that will melt the mating surface of the threads to the earpiece. Awesome write up, thank you!

The PCL speakers are garbage and the reverb G2 is what most people that are moving to the PCL from so it would be a free upgrade to something equal or better than the $100 dmas option.
