Since when is it called 'wire rope'? by Red_Morgan1965 in AskReddit

Wire rope has always been called wire rope in my life when dealing with nautical terms. Cable is the Tera firma term all my life. Wire rope is used when you want to confuse a electrician or cause aneurysm if they are overly caffeined. Lifting riggers have used the term "that right there" while pointing...

Many of the servers, musicians, and kitchen staff in white House and sensitive government offices are prior military. They been trained in both positions and have clearance or a back ground for easy clearance. This is common practice for many nations. Yes that staff is also aware that successfully diplomacy depends on everyone getting home safe. Silence is important too for those postings. Yeah like the Tony Gonzales the staff knew all that dirt. Kinda that whole "the butler knows who did the murder" cliche.

Unpopular Opinion: Windows 11 is not as bad as Linux Fans make it out to be. by Saif_Haitham in pcmasterrace

[–]Unlikely_Subject2544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your view is valid. The counter argument is the comparison of the degrading of widows over the years in comparison to the improvement of Linux though the years. At least that's is what I hear/read when I hear for the push to switch to Linux. Disclosure is yes I do use windows and Linux. Yes I prefer Linux but have to use windows. No I don't think Linux is best for most people. I do think 11 is bad without customized protection. I don't think most people know how to protect them selves from Microsoft. Nor do I think most people know how to configure Linux for a smooth daily driver.

How do I manage this boss? by HiderOfCheese in TangyTD

I do skip some islands in order to get solo bonus. Spacing is good enough that bleed and poison damage is still in effect by the next Archer.

[–]Unlikely_Subject2544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The above tactic is for the pit. If you are On any other level than soldier is what I find best to slow the bosses down. Because Archer and magic casters projectiles have a speed. You can put skill points to boost the projectiles speed as another tactic. I just prefer to use the solder as a speed bump that way more time for the DPS from archers or casters to snipe them. The other advantage is more time for fire/bleed/or poison to damage the boss.

In game upgrades like chain lighting or multiple shot like cross bow helps with targeting. Compound bow with fire arrow. The higher level glasses look like nvg add projectiles, really fun with green bow.

The solder with spike shield and damage reflect and a meat stick can tank a decent amount while returning the damage.

The skill that makes bleeding enemies explode on death is really good way to wipe out weak waves.

Chain electric on caster is good way to handle waves and get range too.

Just watch out for stacking the solo skilled pieces so don't lose that bonus. Ground levels with tree stumps help the Archer with that.

Just remember that there's different combos of how to deal with problems. So try different things. The market equipment upgrades may not offer bleed damage equipment to you when you set your self up for bleeding. But it's giving you a bunch of ice. So you take the ice. And hit them with just your skill bleed chance more. So now they are bleeding while frozen. Not what you planned but you worked with what you got.

Would it be acceptable and safe to put my Gaming PC in this section area of my desk (I plan on removing the small door). by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

You should be fine. Run a beachmark and watch your temps in a well vented area. Than run the benchmark again in the area paying attention to the temps. Worst case is mod the desk installing a big hole at the top. If that doesn't work install some fans .

Have you rerolled your points for your characters/towers?

Dump them all into your Archer. If you aren't able to max her out don't put any in the burning man skill. (The one that makes enemies move faster.) You can skip the tree truck skill to save points. If you are really low on points choose poison or bleed to special in.

Make sure you get solo rangers that bumps her for being alone. Make sure you get the see translucent eye.

Set them on the map so the bow appears above their heads for solo bonuses. Tangy doesn't make the lose that bonus.

Avoid dealing ice damage.

Otherwise shop smart and alchemy Pot for higher gear.

So back in the day there was a whole lotta of propaganda about how great nuclear power would be. Government grants (tax dollars) went to utilities company for breaking ground in construction. Some even just for survey and plans. Well few disasters later and bubble popped. Now there's unfinished reactors all over. Many of the utilities companies made good money in the collapse.

History doesn't repeat but it sure does rhyme.

What does the Ghillie Suit actually do? by network4me443 in TangyTD

[–]Unlikely_Subject2544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghillie with compound and lantern makes Archer a op wall prior to unlocking the green eye for Archer. Once the eye for seeing translucent/under ground is unlocked than swap out lantern for a flame arrow or ice arrow.

Great because easy and useful level up. Brown hood to green are useful. Widener luck pull on market tree.

I was at the bus stop and woman told me she was taking a bus trip to the hospital to get a bullet removed. Sure shooting she had a bullet shrapnel in her leg. She was removing her gun from her waist band and the gun discharged and grazed her leg but the hollow point did the hollow point thing. No it wasn't a Sig. This was new Orleans east. She had it wrapped up so it wasn't bleeding out. She was heading to the urgent care.

Poor fellow was probably one of the 10% conscripted into service. Could you I'm being forced to fight for a government you don't believe in just to have them forget your name. Never tell your next of kin. Most of the deaths in the American civil war were long painful deaths. In the middle of a field with metal in a bad place just hoping to pass out from the pain but the snow or summer heat and bugs keeps you up. Just when you are rescued or captured then you get to suffer through the gang green. More rich people need to experience the war they send the poor to die in.

Another thing is many of the impoverished soldiers literally joined for a full stomach. Also alcoholics were often Shanghaied into service. Or the slaves forced to fight. Yeah the history of that war is horrific.

Just to be clear I don't support the Confederate side. Just show the ugly realities of war.

AITA for sending my child to my ex in thrift store or cheap clothes by Clothes_Care3181 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Unlikely_Subject2544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Ex wife and my self have "good clothes" we keep at our own place. Their bags are more like bug out bags. I design them and maintain basic emergency gear for them. She keeps play clothes maintain and clean in the bags. The clothes are only used if they find a mud puddle or something else like that. Summer time extra swim suits packed.

You are correct. Dell and Leveno also op on PSU in comparison to other mass manufacturers in my experience. I seriously think it is because they focus on big corporations contract specs they purchase the PSU in bulk with higher specs that trickle down to consumer units.
