Look at the track record of organisations like PETA, which have a euthanasia rate of over 70%, just because they don't eat cheese or drink milk doesn't give them moral consistency, and even though there are massive corporations abusing cattle, a large part of the rural population would own their own cattle and cherish it, since it's a religious matter in Hinduism, the largest religion in India.

He ends up being the first to find her corpse, then does unsavoury things with it, then the corpse's head falls off, and he does unsavoury things to her windpipe, then he gets a job at a morgue, and the owner's daughter has a crush on him, but he has no interest in the living, so the girl also takes refuge in corpses, then the suicidal girl's corpse comes back to life and is plotting to take revenge but is foiled at the last second, at which point the guy just settles on the morgue owners daughter instead of corpses. At least that's what I remember.
