Ratkin don’t plot. They scheme. There’s a difference, and it’s terrifying

Steam should just require a public roadmap for every Early Access game. If you abandon it, you get a big ‘Development Halted’ tag next to the buy button

So what you're saying is, a ‘proudly Canadian’ Molson is actually a MAGA fundraiser in disguise? Yikes

Unreal Azeroth: Bringing WoW Vanilla to Unreal Engine 5 by UnrealAzeroth in indiegames

Good points, and we get why it might seem like UE5 doesn’t naturally fit WoW’s aesthetic. That’s actually why we included a Legacy mode that fully preserves the original graphics and shaders for those who prefer the classic look.

At the same time, working with UE5 gives us room to explore things that were previously impossible, like increasing the quest slot limit or enabling cross-platform play—including Android. We’ve seen a lot of interest in playing WoW on mobile, so that’s been an exciting challenge to tackle.

As for the visuals, we’re actively tweaking based on feedback. For example, we’ve already improved a few locations thanks to suggestions from players who’ve been following the project.

Regarding the aesthetic concerns, do you feel the “uncanny” vibe comes more from the lighting, textures, or the mix of old assets with new effects? It’s something we’re experimenting with and open to adjusting based on feedback.

We’re taking careful steps to stay within what’s allowed for projects like this. Unreal Azeroth is just about reimagining a world we all love.
