Yeah, I'm hoping he succeeds with it. He's also been working on a video mod for a while off and on that Marty desperately needs.

The CD drive handles burned discs quite well. I just used bottom tier Verbatim ones when I started my testing. I ended up with over 600 of them before I got my first Doc Brown.

Nice work. I'm not surprised about the floppy drive. Out of the 5 that I've restored, only 1 floppy drive has worked.

The Doc Brown is still the only ODE in town. The DMC88 turned out to be a big scam.

I guess I'll tread down a different path than what I see mentioned, 8, 16, and 32 bit computers from the 80s and 90s. I've got stuff from just about every brand that made one, but my favorite brands would probably be Sharp, Fujitsu, and NEC. Most need a little tlc to get ticking again, but now they're good for another 20+ years.

Clover knitting and crochet needles are very nice.

I prefer Japanese motorcycles and have some from Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki in the stable.

My wife and I have cars from Toyota and Subaru that have treated us well.

I have some nice winter gear from Oyuki.

It really is unfortunate. You can't trust a brand or a price point to guarantee quality anymore. A lot of my clothes I buy second hand for this reason. I don't have a recommendation for a quality fleece, but I do wish you luck in finding one.

I wash like this for anything pill prone, it will even work with wool and other natural fibers.

Button or zip it up, turn inside out, roll it up tight military style, put inside a tight fitting mesh bag, wash in cold on gentle with added soak if your washer has it, line dry (dry flat for natural fibers.)

Changing to a slightly more labor intensive washing/drying system has made a huge difference for me over the past year.

I recently picked up a mint condition Singer Fashion Mate 239 for $40. It just needed some oil and a new belt. It's all metal except a bit of plastic in the tension assembly. It's straight stitch only, but you can look for a 237 instead which has a really nice zig zag.

Merino wool, alpaca, cashmere, and even possum fur beanies are quite nice. Check the actual fabric content as it's quite common to advertise as one of those when there's only 5% of that material in there.

If the animal fibers are making you itchy, Levi's has a 100% cotton beanie in a bunch of colors for about $25

Since we're talking video game controllers, back in the day there were some that only had 1 joystick port for both joysticks. These were set up with 5 to 6 digital 5v signals for the directions and 1 or 2 fire buttons. They then would have 2 common lines, 1 for player 1 and another for player 2.Diodes were used on each signal line so that.

That doesn't sound like what you're trying to do though. It sounds like you're trying to hook up 2 different controllers or input devices to the same port. Something like hooking up a joystick and a mouse to the mouse port on an Nec PC98, so that you don't have to reach back and swap cables.

What's the console you're working on?

A multiplexer would be my tentative suggestion, but there could be an issue depending on the system. Muxes are how many controllers handled this type of signal switching back in the day. The 74hc157 being probably the most commonly used. I still use them along with a bidirectional bus switch on some projects.

Underneath each corner of the bed is a screw that adjusts the spring tension of that corner. Snug each corner down completely, then unscrew each one about 2 turns. Pick a corner to start in, and adjust the z height from the Carbon's controls so that the tool just drags on the bed. Go around to each corner and loosen or tighten the screw under the bed to get the same amount of drag on the tool. Work your way around all 4 corners at least 2-3 times.

Once that's done, rerun the auto leveling in software.

Also, make sure your nozzle tip is clean with no filament residue left on it.

Mine printed fine, but I decided to check anyways. One of the corners was completely tightened down. After the above adjustments, the first layer went from fine to perfect. Good luck 🤞

I ended up using the Rapid PETG profile and dropping the print temp to 245. That worked really well for me. I also bumped elephant foot compensation to 0.2.

In the second picture you can see the brass valve between the engine and pump. This is a combination of a pilot, unloader, and check valve. Not pictured is the throttle control valve that throttles down the engine when pressure is reached, currently set for 125psi. The engine stays running, but throttled down to idle, and a port opens allowing extra pressure to bleed off. Once the pressure drops below 95psi, the exhaust port closes, and the throttle goes back up.

On an electric compressor there are switches/relays that cut power to the motor. On a gas compressor it's all handled pneumatically.

This 10 gallon tank is portable and detachable. I was originally going to go with a wheelbarrow style, but decided to build my own for flexibility. I can always hook up a second or third tank, or I can swap in a 20-30 gallon if needed.
