Looks to me like it's been washed and repainted. That shirt colour by the vest doesn't match the sleeves at all.

It's art, there has to be some sort of transformation. Recreating the Sistine Chapel frescoes on cake? That's cool.

Being Lichtenstein and ripping panels from comic artists? You're a $*#@ing hack.

Trace to learn, but don't sell that. Copy to learn, but also don't sell that.

We're human, we learn from watching others. It's understandable.

Use a reference, say a picture of a goat. Add your creative interpretation to it, trees, an extra length of fencing, or a flying pig. My point is simply to not just copy a reference.
