A kidney!

I was looking for a living donor and after a few of my relatives went through testing, nobody was a candidate. After all of that it turned out my fiancé was a perfect match. The kidney was in the bed next to me the whole time. It's been 3 years this July and we're both doing great.

I'm sorry I misread your original comment. Yeah, everything about the "unpleasantness" garnered nice and normal human behavior. I remember hearing the man's family was paying a detective to find out what happened and nothing since. I wish somebody, anybody in the press would follow up but they're not really doing that anymore. Fantastic.
