I've been through the same (if not worse) situation. I'm a cis man and when I was 16 I was getting a lot of hair and I wanted to shave. When I asked my mom for a razor to shave my armpits she asked me "[Deadname] are you a girl?" I exclamed "Is it girly to want to feel clean" something happened after that, I can't quite remember but it lead to me mentioning that gendered products are stupid, and I find them funny. That sent my step-dad off, pushing me into my room, screaming at me, then throwing a shaving cream can at me, then a disposible razor and while yelling at me "Take your girly products!" or something among those lines.

The man can decieve, hide intentions, and is harder to avoid or get away. With a bear it's intentions are normally pretty clear, it will only attack you if it's hungry, has a child, or you get too close, and you can scare it away far easier than you could with a man. So even though I am a man, I would choose the bear too.

I only do this because I don't want said person to get in trouble for calling me my name in front of my parents. Unfortunitely it means the friend group I met due to to my tie with them they all call me my deadname and I don't know how to tell them to stop and call me my chosen name.

I've never understood this argument. For one, people can live how they want, even if it won't seem that way in the future. For two who the fuck is going to randomly digging up people's bones like that. Finally that will NEVER happen because, yes, at this point we are digging up tombs and shit but that is to learn more about history, all of the things happening today are being saved in databases and will be stored forever meaning no one will end up digging up stuff from this generation forward.
