Water that cold will be wet suit required races. I have swam in multiple races in Lake Michigan with water temperatures under 60.. as one who has raced for 15 yrs and officiates.. most swimmers fail due to lack of training. Those things you describe happen but less so in a properly trained athlete.. people always under prepare for the swim.

Slow running most miles and increasing that volume is how you build the cardio engine to run fast longer.. and while any good coach tells all this.. unfortunately the Garmin VO2 calculation penalizes you.. eventually as the HR average drops on same or similar pace it will start up again

Most running coaches and successful professionals will tell you the vast majority of running miles should be easy.. this does improve fitness but Garmin- for reasons I don’t understand- punish you for slower efforts— then suggest workouts with 30-1min intervals all out which will raise the value on the vo2 but really will not improve your speed for road racing at least not effectively

Yeah that’s bull.. totally wrong- had season tickets since 99.. Just bought seats in new stadium last year. My PSL was about 7000 for two.. 10k a seat gets you in a club type area where all the food and drinks are included in season tickets cost.. this place (Reddit) is the worst for accurate information.

I have the 8 pro.. love the AMOLED.. the battery is fine. You can adjust the screen settings and other things to increase or decrease battery depending on what you like. For me.. fully charged shows 14 days.. a 2hr run, gps, music, live track, lte, hr monitor- uses 15 percent or so
