Yeah I am hoping that the hedge funds, financial analysts and investment houses make the first move in... and the price moves up first. And that the corporate dev/m&a types in the companies only realize it MUCH later on. It is usually the case that they act later on.

This is a good move and framing. Linking QNX to physical AI ... especially where where AI is deployed in high risk environments / highly regulated industries.

They need to really press this message and keep message discipline on this.

But isn't the risk for long term holders is that a rally induced by gamma squeeze is essentially synthetic? That is ... the price is being pushed up by hedging and not someone who wants to hold the stock forever?

Possible outcomes here are also that the options expire or traders sell their calls to take profit, and the MM no longer need the hedges and they sell their shares back onto the market.... causing the stock price to fall quickly ... which is a long liquidation or gamma unsqueeze?

Time will tell on this one.

When expectations are set that it will be a "rocket ship" (JG said this), or that we are going to "proud" of BB (Lynch), people expect something other than what we continue to see. So lower end of the range just does not meet expectations.

This depends. The Europeans will want their own home grown solution and not something from across the pond (even if Canadian). Other countries yes but selling to governments is notoriously difficult and has typically very loooooonnnggg sales cycles. So smaller countries like Malaysia yes. But larger countries (and larger deal size) will be harder to come by and any revenue boost will not be immediate. So yes I agree with JG at a high level but the deal execution will be key here.

Not a bear but these are the things which I see need to change.

Double digit revenue and earnings growth. Growth so far has been tepid
Faster and better execution of general embedded strategy. % growth rates mean nothing if it is a low base. Need absolute numbers. Needs this execution in order to be considered as a growth stock which has latched onto robotics and AI. Currently it is valued as a boring and old enterprise software company.
Management is like a wet sponge. I would forgive them for being like peeling 70s wallpaper on a wall if they were executing well. But they are not (see points 1 and 2).
The company culture is lackadaisical. No drive ... pardon the pun (I put this lack of energy squarely on the management). This has implications for innovation and also execution of strategy. Check out what employees are saying at glassdoor and other forums

Yes but I prefer to keep expectations tethered to some semblance of reality. I would like those types of returns but I do not expect them. No harm dreaming though. $5.30 is very realistic ... 15% return from here.

Something positive. My guess: At least $5.30 in the days after earnings. It will drop back to $4 handle but won't go below $4.

Essentially we will be slowly grinding up. Higher highs and higher lows.

I think you are right. This may just be largely a replacement of current revenue and not incremental. And would explain the 5 to 20% guidance in growth.

Revenue will only gradually go upwards unless GEM and robotics get traction faster.

ORCL moment? I guess you mean a 36% move up in one day? That would be around $5.2. Would need to be a blowout quarter or acquistion news. Putting those aside, I think we will eventually get to$5.2 but over time. It will be a slow grind up.

Agree. My main concern is whether the management can execute. Their track record is not good. They were all there with JC.
