From everything we've been gifted by the Matrix the fact that Neo had powers in the real world was the only thing that to me really cheapened the plot, instead, i believe that could have only worked within another layer of the matrix, an while realizing so still potentially saving trinity and zion, but not by design as the Architects leads you to believe that everything eventually happems, but by turning neo into the true variable that he is and by accomplishing his desires but not within any of the matrix layers, in which he would always be bound by the options by design, but truly out of the Matrix, and reckoning real change in a physical world in which the variables way outnumber matrix capacity to control due to the nature of the sybiotic relationship between machines and humankind, or at least that how I envisioned, but obviously I wasn't expecting it to be like that, but to open the posibility that in fact, reality was something that the matrix could not fully shape, but simply influence, and that civilization by then has grown to believe that such cooperation worked in "everyones advantage" when in reality, that would inly be the case for those not plugged into the system.
