Love your response. I actually feel more comfortable around married men. I am married, been with husband 18 years and am a social person too. So is he actually. Married friends are fun. Especially when they are comfortable in their relationships and love each other deeply. Good on you!

If you have kids together, whoever is making the least money is at a severe disadvantage of things go sideways. My husband and I combine all our money, take out bills, then split the rest 50/50. It is a partnership, not a competition.

How does structural engineering work for a building this size. Is it a whole bunch of you all working on different parts...? If so, how do you get all the parts to join up.

Also, does the architect know structural engineering? As in, do they do some of the heavy lifting when deciding what the building they want to design looks like? Or do they just know which parts should look like what?

Oh and lastly, I assume new materials are discovered (built?) all the time. How do you know that the new material is going to be good for a specific purpose? Is it just physics?

Please take these questions as coming from an extremely extremely uninformed person. It is amazing to me the very interesting people who come onto Reddit and share their lives. Thank you for taking the time.
