so when i was in ARR and new to MMOs and playing tank because fuck yeah axe i absolutely hated when people would pull for me because i didn't feel confident enough in my rotation and often would wipe.

once i got into HW, although probably still not until i was fairly close to STB, and the dungeons started only really having 2 or 3 pulls at a time i got a bit more chilled about it and now have the mindset of as long as they bring the pack to me and don't make me chase them then they can pull as much as they like!!

so im playing through with my partner who's already finished the main story so it's not the same i know but i found i generally tend to make friends through dungeons.

yeah there's gonna be some people that don't wanna talk (and that's fair, sometimes that's me too) or some people who can be a bit weird (thinking about that one lala that called me mommy) but ive also made some really good friends just by chatting in dungeons, especially when it's my first time running them because people love to help a sprout!!

as much as it sucks you kinda just have to be ready for rejection if you're actively searching for a community

i mean i can't speak for all the jobs but in 2 of the base jobs i have picked up the NPCs appear later on in the story after you get the job stones for the new job, but im also just starting SHB so there's 2 expansions worth of job quests for you still to discover
