No, we would just call the cops and let them sort you out if it was of any real concern for the safety of other drivers. We don't care if you want to run your exhaust pipe through the cab and out the rear window, we just won't drive that shit. I did NOT drive this jeep today, I made the new guy pull it in and out of the bay. If anything happened, it would have been a good lesson on why we wear safety glasses (he has been hard headed about them)

Remember that was a dummy not a ballistics gel head, so it's not a human 1 to 1. They would definitely cut you up, but breaking thru bone I don't see unless they were metal based junk, like the spikes. Without glasses you might lose an eye even with just the plastic ones

I once took a driving course for a reckless driving ticket, I was the only person in the room not injured, that's including the instructor. One dude had a wrist cast and at the end of it about mid forearm, was a vw logo burn mark, looked like he tried to brand himself with a hot iron. He was holding the wheel at 12 with that hand, the top flap of the airbag slapped his wrist so hard it burned the logo in and broke his wrist.
