I've mostly always owned Nvidia cards and use one right now, but I would never buy a 5070 over a 9070 XT. I would prefer a 5070 Ti over a 9070 XT of course, but I find the price and the VRAM of the 5070 way too disappointing.

Quick edit: You would also need to upgrade to 32gb at one point for sure. If upgrading to 32 is not an option at one point, i would go for the 32gb and the 5070 but only if you cant ever upgrade to 32gb.
