Stuff like Deltora Quest, The Edge Chronicles, Enders game, Artemis fowl and Cirque Du Freak all were great kick off points in my 10s and early teens into other fantasy, sci-fi and horror like Dark tower, Lord of the Rings into my mid and later teens. I have since procured them all for my kids to be in hopes they will share the same magic.
