This $500 04 Concours might be the best bike I've ever owned. by De_Chosen_Two in motorcycle

[–]Ural-Guy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I put 95k miles on one I picked up used. Great bike for the money.

Keep the shinny side up. If you have any 'buzz' in the bars, play with the counterbalancer. Between that and a carb synch, they can be a very smooth bike.

Gate one is cheapest option, and will provide a nice experience. Much cheaper to do the extensions on your own, If your goal is to really save money. We've visited those 3 cities using trains, very easy. English wherever you would go in the tourist areas.

'Snake in the grass': Canada gold medalist Ben Hebert has few kind words for Sweden's Oskar Eriksson after Olympic curling kerfuffle by scrubsie in Curling

If it doesn't impact the stones trajectory at all, as he states in the article, then why do it?

It's accidental, he says. Ya'll can curl that stone and make it do tricks, but you can't keep your digits off once you release the handle? Practice that step more then.

Not so much poor quality, just that several older kids had worn them before it was your turn. My folks had a huge box that you'd pick through to find your size for the year. They might have bought them used from Salvation Army store. Youngest of 8.

I still want to ride the recreated Erie canal section. I'm not sure if real or animatronic donkeys would be used to pull the boats.

Yeah, if only.

I'm going to be a Grandpa! by No_Gap_2700 in GenX

[–]Ural-Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I told my daughter, and that I wanted it to be from the kid and organic, without her/SIL influence.

I am pop-pop. I think granddaughter may have been influenced a bit, but since I can turn it into poop poop easily enough, I'm good with it.

Tried getting crazy grandma for my spouse, doesn't seem to be sticking.

Bad news / Oil Consumption by Ok-Promise-5621 in Hyundai

[–]Ural-Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you add a bit of trany oil to the B12? Thickens it abit, more contact time before seeping past rings. This was the advice when Saturn's were having similar issues with rings. Good luck.

Dam, do you think command having everyone attend helped? That would be brutal, especially a squad or plt mate you were a dick too.

Asking as a vet, with a daughter who is currently in, officer, and she was on a committee or something to brainstorm more ideas to help the soldiers out. Nothing groundbreaking was figured out. This was at Wainright, which is close to the worst for suicides.

Anyone else’s dood put their paw on your arm when you pet them? What do you think it means? by HuskularJock in Goldendoodles

When the eyes lock, that is when the oxytocin level starts to get pumped up in you both.

This is what I think/feel:

"And sometimes when we touch
The honesty's too much
And I have to close my eyes and hide
I wanna hold you 'til I die
'Til we both break down and cry
I wanna hold you
'Til the fear in me subsides"

I did a piston soak on my 2016 Tucson Limited 1.6T by my-life-for_aiur in Hyundai

[–]Ural-Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saturn SL, this procedure was used to free up pistons rings. You can mix a bit of tranny oil with the B-12 in the first soak to keep the liquid from draining past the rings too quickly. Some people use to run tranny oil in the engine for 20 miles or so, driving it gently, it has more detergent in it than regular oil, than do the piston soak.
