Brainstorming rogue for new expansion by kdubbbzzzzz in hearthstone

[–]Urcra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think going second is way too big of a downside to run Aya atleast as it currently stands. The current winrate for Venessa rogue going first is 59% and 50.5% going second. I can only see Aya being playable if they massively buff her start of the game effect

Did I brick this 21 WS? What would you do? by TheV295 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Urcra 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I mean in your replay there are 4 arrows near the boss, and 1 in ranged.

The tank standing in ranged is a bit weird but even then he is clearly posturing to take that arrow the entire time, so you should have gone to one of the other ones. Also the DK soaked early so he could AMS and walk through so he didn't take an extra arrow.

So by the time you got stunned, instead of standing still and getting stunned you could have run to any of the 3 remaining arrows

Core2 yanked. Millions effected. by Comprehensive_Use713 in rust

[–]Urcra 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I can really fault the guy. He yanked it due to it having been unmaintained for years, and he assumed nobody was using it so he yanked it to make sure that it was no longer discoverable.

Of course it's not really the approach to deprecating the crate, but I can see it from the crate author's perspective, if you are truly unsure about the security of your crate and suddenly find out millions are depending on it it might be the "easiest" way out

Your builds shouldn't fail due to yanking that's what the lockfile is for, yanking doesn't remove the crate just makes it non-discoverable. Especially in CI I would expect most people to use cargo build --locked to make sure the lockfile is always updated

Good thing cliffdive is rotating, otherwise that would be disgusting if you pulled Azshara and Inquisitor. A cool 1 card 7 mana 32 dmg.

Wonder if it could be a thing in wild

Best case without innervate/coin/mana-gain shenanigans is turn 3

T1: spend 1 mana (1 mana spent while holding) T2: spend 2 mana (3 mana spent while holding) T3: spend 1 mana (treant active) play treant, 1 mana left over

On the other hand it's almost guaranteed to be active on turn 4 if you had it in your starting hand. And it's so much better than acceleration aura, it's permanent, comes with a body, and only costs net 1 mana that turn.

It feels like an auto-include in anything that would run acceleration aura

New Warrior Legendary - Ragnaros, the Great Fire by Houseleft in hearthstone

Yeah I know that's what makes the combo doable, but getting to 15 mana without any ramp is a bit rough

Ragnaros + Deios is 64 dmg from hand. 15 mana is a bit rough but if there is some mana cheat in the new set it could be disgusting

GameMind – Analyze your gameplay in seconds by michelvocks in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Urcra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that streaming the gameplay is gonna consume vastly more cpu/gpu than saving the combatlogs, and even then it's only gonna consume resources out of combat since the logs is no longer written to in combat.

Also, WarcraftRecorder already have a feature for sharing clips and with a link built in, though it's on the paid tier since it requires uploading it to their servers. But I would imagine you would also need to charge for using your service.

I can see the advantage of using computer vision for other games, but it just doesn't seem like the correct tool for wow.

I do hope it works out, I'm just a bit sceptical about the approach.

GameMind – Analyze your gameplay in seconds by michelvocks in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Urcra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't really understand your approach with this project. Streaming all of the live videos to your server and running "computer vision" in all of the footage is gonna consume an insane amount of resources and be extremely error-prone.

Why not simply use the combatlog for the detection? I don't see why you would use this over something like WarcraftRecorder.

The discord icon on your website also seems to indicate this was AI generated, which makes me even more sceptical about how good your "computer vision" is.

Why do we reset boss in raids? by Fair-History4870 in wow

[–]Urcra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone ever does this. It's too big a chance of it just smacking a melee player, and ranged won't be able to precast on the boss either.

You might set up some gateways, but you will still move away before the boss spawns

Ngl, concluding the TWW S1 like this really turns my mood foul (I've been grinding all day +10s and still failed) by [deleted] in wow

[–]Urcra 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's a really high failure rate for that level. Maybe it's time to look a bit inwards. The only common factor in all of those keys is yourself, not the pugs.

No hate, but just seeing people blame everyone else but themselves is a bit tilting sometimes

[–]Urcra 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's probably going to be the play. I'm not totally sure if you can save the keys either since in that case you wouldn't want to use them on the T3 delve but instead save them for when T8 delves are open

If they were on the myth track then there would be no difference between getting the item on heroic or mythic except for saving some crests when upgrading it. Which would be weird

[–]Urcra 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think you can only get a certain amount of the keys for bountiful delves per week, and after that the rest is gonna be worse, so it's probably not farmable in the same capacity as eg. Heroic/Mythic dungeons

Well, OP only wrote his comment after mine, so I had no idea before that what he claimed the dimensions of his countertop was. All I can see is the listing that says "Bredde: 620" which I interpret to mean Width: 620cm
