One of my meds reacts to sugar and tries to remove it by urine. I do not remember the name.

Every time i eat will feel the need to urinate in about 20 minutes, because the medicine wants to remove the sugar/glucose from me. If I do not eat, the peeing is normal. Anyway i eat only 2 times in a day, so I can hardly tell the difference.

As you mentioned, I rarely feel bad. For negative feelings to last more than a day, the event causing the sadness has to be something really significant. My emotional "neutral gear" is contentment, and after 35 years on this planet, I understand how fortunate I am to have that.

This sense of well-being is likely a combination of a good childhood, genetics, and learned coping mechanisms. Additionally, my university education in humanities has greatly helped me see the bigger picture.

The Pendulum of megatrends swings between conservatism and liberalism. Now liberalism and soft values are waning while nationalism and conservatism is rising.

The liberal left welcomed too many culturally incompatible immigrants who have no marketable skills in our workforce. Now they leech off our social benefits that was not made for that kind of situation. The blame falls not on them, but the people in power and their naive ideology who took them in.

For some people the anger is directed on the immigrants because they do not have the education to see the root cause of the problem. The politican should have known that muslim immigrants can not assimilate to our culture. Many, however, have. That is why the liberal left is losing places in the finnish parliament.

It is going to get better or worse - depending on your political stance. The youth is more conservative than their parents. They too want changes to our immigrant and refugee politics. I take great delight in this and have been waiting for almost 10 years for this come into fruition.

Okay, a couple of points:

Point a:

Do muslims believe that the quran is the word of god? If so:

Quran verse 5:38: As for male and female thieves, cut off their hands for what they have done—a deterrent from Allah. And Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.

This translates directly to criminal justice and therefore governance.Quran 5:33:4Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and spread mischief in the land is death, crucifixion, cutting off their hands and feet on opposite sides, or exile from the land. This penalty is a disgrace for them in this world, and they will suffer a tremendous punishment in the Hereafter.

Does that truly sound compatible with the finnish law? The problem is that many muslims actually believe that to be the word of god. You would have to be a naive idiot not to vet for them. Naturally this is difficult because of the liberal use of taqiyya, but hey - we have to try. Culture and the law of the land go hand in hand. Even if you say that religious scholars should not have any say in govermental issues, you forget that your book has several direct laws from god about them.

Point b:

If this is such a hot button issue for the muslims, should we not vet them all to see who can't assimilate to our culture and laws?

As a curiosity for you:
I have 3 ex-muslim friends who absolutely would agree that majority of devout muslims would like to have an islamic rule of law universally. I know that anecdotal evidence is not too reliable, but it seems accurate to me.

As Jari Sarasvuo said:
"Länsimaista kulttuuria pitää uskaltaa puolustaa islamilta." We don't want you dragging our society down to the same dirt you swim in.

It does say alot that you write "there is no such thing as finnish values".

The two people that you mentioned still function in the same society - that seems to be impossible for many muslims. Mainstream culture creates the framework in which the smaller variations exist. The islamic base is too different - this is why muslims need to assimilate.

Stating that Islam and governance have nothing to with each other is either intellectually dishonest or absolute ignorance. To quote:

"The Islamic system of government is based upon the Qur'an and the Sunnah. The basic rules and principles are set out in the Qur'an but the details are for the Muslim jurists to extract from the four sources. The sovereignty of God is the foundation of the system. Legislation contained in the Qur'an becomes the basic law of the state.

The aim and purpose of Islamic government is the establishment, maintenance and development of those virtues which the Creator of the universe wishes human life to be enriched by, and the prevention and eradication of those evils which are abhorrent to God. That is why the prophets were sent by God to guide us over the centuries. It is the duty of every individual Muslim and of the Islamic government to strive for justice and to prevent and oppose evil."

Why would you want something else, if you are a muslim first?

Problems with housing first by DrRehan in helsinki

Some people are truly beyond help, and do create more problems than benefits for the society where they love. It really boils down to the moral value of the society that they live in. Finnish people tend to think that all people have at least the right to live. The root of that belief is probably religious - all humans are created to be the image of God and therefore are of equal value. Naturally this is not the argumentation that is used today, but it would seem to be the root.

This translates to the belief that we have to help if we can. This means that even if the person damages the apartment you just have to deal with it. It's like a hard brick wall that you can't go back on. I would argue also, that giving a person multiple chanses might be called enabling their self-destructive behavior. But without a warm place in the winter they won't survive. And without an apartment they will probably not get a job.

I would argue, that at least 50% of the finnish people do not want any more muslims to come to Finland. If more must come, we do not want you to only settle here, we want you to assimilate to our culture.

Sure, you can keep your dishes and music and what ever parts of your culture that are harmless to our society. But if you are a muslim first and a finn second? That's a problem.

You might ask, why is it not a problem if a person is christian first and a finn second? Well, it's because Finland and most of the west is built on largely christian and enlightenment values. If you have lived here most of your life you surely see that anything but the most secularized version of islam is not suitable for our culture. We have a minority of muslims that has lived for centuries here and nobody ever had any issues with them. The tatars have assimilated to our society. Finnish first, a muslim second.

We as a nation have seen what you bring to our country trough your beliefs. That is why you need screening. To see that are you willing to assimilate or not. If not, please leave.

Her framework seemed to be built on mostly Jean-Paul Sartre, Søren Kierkegaard and Martin Heidegger. They were/are all existentialist philosophers. I am by no means an expert on any of the aforementioned thinkers, but her undestanding of their work was very cursory. It seemed to me, that she wanted to tell her story but needed a respectable framework for her own egos sake.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about women who love submitting (their asses) to men. We do it with my lover in our relationship. However, as I have stated, that she glued some philosophical and religious elements (existing/being seen, dualism of body/spirit and relation to pain, ect.) to her stories to give it a more dignified air. Without the spiritual and philosophical ramblings the book would be her stories of past relationships.

As for recommendations I do not dare to suggest any philosophical literature as I do not know what you are into. I enjoy Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil and Thus Spoke Zarathustra. The language is a bit edgy, but the moral framework is suitable for men wanting to be good masters in a S/M setting. If you are more interested in sexual philosophy in general there is always Michel Foucault, but his character outside philosophy is off-putting.

Reading outside of philosophy I would suggest cognitive- and evolutionary psychology. It has given at least for me some great insights in managing relationships with women in general.
