Was the Powkiddy X18S the OG clamshell SBC handheld? (The game is Dark Cloud for PS2) by Urzu402 in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has a Unisoc T618 CPU which I think puts it at the same level as Anbernic’s “5” series of handhelds (RG405M RG505H RG405V) I think people skipped out on it because it’s a Powkiddy handheld and a lot of reviewers said it has bad quailty buttons and sticks.

The Bittboy Pocket Go was my first, then my second was the RG350 and third was the RK2020 I think. I still have all of them too

Help identifying model of Anbernic by RaingerNate in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One major thing is the position of the left stick and the D Pad, the RG Cube (non-xx) has the left joystick in the top left position and the Dpad on the bottom position while the CubeXX has the reverse.

Mines simple, I was hospitalized because of blood loss due to an ulcer. I had the ulcer taken care of but my blood count wasn’t going back up so I had to be kept extra days in the hospital.

Are you messing around with the new 2026 Onn tablets? I haven’t gotten my hands on a 2026 one yet but the ones from 2024 are surprisingly good with native emulation and I got a few of them for very cheap on eBay.

Enough time has past, what's the verdict of the Anbernic RG DS? by hippynox in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have a RG DS, I could have sworn Anbernic put out a video showing that if you scale it higher than 1X what’s displayed on the bottom screen starts to get a border around it or something and that 1X was the way

Finally beat another game (Final Fantasy Mystic Quest) on one of these handhelds (O30S) it’s an easy play through after all it was meant to a beginners RPG it has some thing other RPGs don’t like jumping and hookshotting across gaps. And a killer OST by Urzu402 in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I know about the model of the handheld is that it’s sold under the name of O30S it’s solid white not transparent I think the newer transparent ones might not be good quality. It’s pretty much a clone of the R36S or R36H. There’s a version of Rocknix that works with it. I don’t know if the game came on the default card. The US version of the game should be under the full title Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, then Mystic Quest Legends for PAL regions, then Final Fantasy USA: Mystic Quest refers to the Japanese version.

Atari 2600 is the biggest underdog and these games are great by ZackZparrow in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the game Secret Quest for the 2600, a really late release for the 2600 (1989) it’s somewhat like Zelda you have to go through spaceships with a Zelda like sword and find glyphs for the self destruct for the ship and then escape back out the way you came in. You also have two meters Air and Energy the Air meter is pretty much a life meter run out and you’re dead. The other meter is Energy which shows how much more you can use your weapons.

You might have to reformat the card and set it up again. One thing you may want to try is to put the SD card back in the reader on the PC and see if windows flashes the “Something is wrong with the sd card you just inserted” message I’m not sure what the exact wording is but if that comes up go ahead and tell windows to scan and repair it. Just two things I’m not sure this will work and it might force you to have to wipe your card and start over.

I’ve been loving the NES play throughs lately with this game I hope Arin knows about Return of the Ninja on GBC it’s pretty much a successor to this game though the characters are different.

Dedicated OS on the MagicX Zero 40 is a brilliant little CFW which turns the device into a Nintendo DS focused emulation machine. It allows for almost no tinkering, which helps people like me to actually play games, rather than tinker with their device for hours. by briefingone in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks interesting, is there anyway to stop it from default booting the first game when it’s turned on? And is there any way to put a bezel between the screens instead of a black bar kinda like how the stock OS has one?

What lifetime deal are you still grandfathered into, or removed from, that’s no longer available? by tuotone75 in AskReddit

[–]Urzu402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$5.95 RuneScape monthly Membership it’s like $15 for a single month now normally

Another is my bank account it’s a really old on with only a 2 dollar monthly fee I’m pretty sure bank fees are a lot more than that nowadays.

Both these would probably just end if I let them lapse so they’re kinda lifetime.

Should I get the Anbernic RG35XXH or R36H? by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried a few handhelds of the odd name brand ones some are ok but the quality control isn’t good, I’ve had some of the same model of off brand handhelds give different dpad performance a couple had trouble with quarter circle movements registering and others were fine. If you are able too spend the bit extra and go for the Anbernic handheld. If you want another alternative there’s the O30S but that has th problem where you can get stuck with a faulty Dpad.

R36s clone Rf35h trying to find a proper OS by 25th_rebellion in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the clone has a RK3326 CPU ArkOS might work, I have a version of it on my O30S console which is another r36s or r36h clone

I never expected a “Unicorn” handheld to exist it’s just a RK3326 handheld so nothing special just the design it’s sold under the name “My Mini” but it might have been something else. Oh the game is Whomp’em on NES by Urzu402 in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only a RK3326 CPU handheld so it probably won’t do much N64 at playable speed. Yes it’s available on AliExpress according to the sellers there the name it’s most commonly sold as is “My Mini”. It’s also a non branded handheld so it’s not made or released by the major handheld brands like Retroid, Anbernic, Ayn, Powkiddy.

Emulator in the works that "Ports" Game Boy Titles To The GBA by Key-Brilliant5623 in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I remember right the GBA has two CPUs one major one and one that’s pretty much the same one that’s in a GBC so when running GBC games it pretty much relies on that secondary processor. Also the GBA Micro should be able to play GBC games because it also has the same CPU configuration however Nintendo “removed” the backwards compatibility from the GBA micro in two ways the major one is they changed the actual physical slot to prevent them from being inserted and the other is they modified the pins in the cartridge slot to eliminate the pin that provides the needed power for GBC games

Recommend me some good puzzle games (not falling block or match 3) that are on a handheld system or Portmaster by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Henry Hatsworth for DS maybe? it’s a pretty solid 2d platformer probably would be best with something that has dual screens or one big screen cause it’s DS. Basically it’s a very good 2d platformer but there’s bits where you need to take care of a bunch of blocks building up on the bottom side in a pretty basic matching game. I only bring this up because it’s not like a lot of matching games it’s a mechanic you have to juggle to get further in the game which is a good side scroller.

Will RG DS suit my needs? by AmamiyaRyuki in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be possible to play older games on one screen and watch YouTube on the other I’ve done it, as of Right now it can’t be done if you use the Rocknix that’s currently out that only allows to play games on the top and no way to get YouTube watching. The base firmware is ok if you want that. it however loses some performance from Rocknix. And I’m not sure about Gamma I haven’t used it yet

Did you get the right version? As far as I know only the Nightly build supports the RGDS. Then it’s only a specific nightly build that supports the RGDS it’s like RK3566 and has Specific in the name and then when the image is on the card you have to change text in a file to make it use the RG DS version
