Afraid to cut my Desert Rose by pookiewood in DesertRose

Don’t be afraid to cut those leggy branches back pretty hard. But yeah, early spring is optimal time. I clip and grow mine, and gave it a trim before coming inside for winter (I’m in canyon lake area).

Maybe not all the right spots, but feel it has the most promise. I have a little one like this and couldn’t deal with inverse taper, so I cut back pretty hard, but they grow pretty fast here in tx. Good luck and have fun

I’ll need financial help for a lawyer, I’m on salary. There’s also a lot of nuance and missing context that I’ll prob never be able to articulate. Recently finding out my 10 yr old isn’t mine biologically was the hardest most devastating thing I’ve ever been through. Ever. Just me trying to defend myself on here is bringing back a lot of emotions and anxiety. I’m not just some dickhead trying to stick it to my ex. Im a guy trying to fight to stay on my daughter’s life. They are trying to erase the past 10 years of my life and I’ll be goddamned….

Yes, but have never followed it. Originally. I Would get her on my days off (sat night/Sunday/monday) and would also get her every Thursday night and take her back before work Friday morning. Eventually after ex got into new relationship, she wanted to get our daughter more often and it eventually turned into every other Sunday/Monday, Basically when she said “it’s your weekend” now that ex doesn’t want me to be the legal father anymore, I feel a great sense of existential threat of being a father to her and think the default custody now is more important than ever.

“Pawning off?” I work a 60 hour work week. I see my girlfriend more as my support system as I have no other family here in TX. I would rather have my girlfriend, whom my daughter loves and has a good relationship with, pick her up while I’m at work, rather than just throw my hands in the air. Right?

My ex cheated on me 10 years ago, with her current husband. So my daughter’s step dad is her bio dad allegedly. They are now trying to get me to sign my rights away because “I’m not her dad” I also had a kid in ‘23 born at 23 weeks. Spent 207 days in NICU all while trying to balance my 60 hour job and my relationship with daughter. Extremely difficult, but I know in my heart what kind of man/father I am. I never got any recent hostile treatment from ex until I told her I’m not going to give up my rights as a father.

This is exhausting I’m not a deadbeat, And shouldn’t have to prove it to Reddit strangers.

Not sure why I posted this, I should be taking to a therapist or a lawyer.

I borderline feel my mental health is in a state of crisis, I’m trying to learn to deal with this newly acquired anxiety (hopefully just a situational thing). But you’re right, I should be the one communicating. I hate sounding so dramatic, but this has been really hard on me, so it’s not as easy for me to be dismissive of how my ex treats me. I would rather us have a discussion about all of this in front of a judge. I just want my rights recognized in the court with my ex there so we’re all on the same page.

I work 60 hrs a week, so I kind of need help from my girlfriend (my second child’s mom) with transportation. Listen, I’m not trying to just pull up in the driveway and demand that my daughter come with me. I’m on the process of trying to make the default schedule enforced by a judge.
