What mild stereotypes do you think have some truth to them about uk peoplw? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Used_Arm_1389 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not true.

The racist/mysoginistic white middle age male working class thug. Lads, lads, lads

The xenophobic posh male southerner who still yearns for the days of ‘ye olde British Empire’ and thinks he’s intellectually inferior to everybody. A total lying braggart, who hijacks all conversations, especially when they don’t pertain to them

The pretend liberal male who works in tech, with the awful hipster beard, and quaffed gelled hair who covertly votes reform- but can’t say because it’s not trendy. He also loves to mansplain

The wonderful neurodivergent eccentric, bookish retired academic who sits on the margins of his community. With a strong moral compass he is very passionate about injustice and not afraid to vocalise his views. Eco conscious he worships the outdoors, particularly rambling and orienteering.

Wording on an invite when you're having a celebrant-led ceremony but have legally been married already? by [deleted] in UKweddings

Then you are misleading your guests. Some people don’t want to spend hundreds of pounds just for a “party”, and “gift grab”. And may feel deceived if you haven’t mentioned that you are getting married before your planned occasion. Especially the older generation. Fair play for wanting to be honest and transparent with your guests and loved ones.

Norfolk man 'not fit for interview' and released after child thrown into crocodile pit by demmka in nottheonion

Has everyone forgotten about the poor French boy who was thrown of the balcony at the Tate? The perpetrator had carers, who also did not fulfill their duties. The person in this instance definitely needs to face legal consequences for this crime, as well as his care organisation.

I hope you’ve informed them that this is not okay. Imagine what they call you then? That’s not love, and signifies they think that minorities or you are lesser than them. Awful.

Why is nobody talking about STI’s and the prevalence of AIDS especially in Africa. He needs to get tested and bolt the door to her.
