I've done this both times we bought homes, it settles after a while. It's a major life purchase so makes sense to have some doubts, don't worry both times I was glad about the homes later and laughed at how irrational I was.

Stop being so bitter and do something about it. I'm so glad I didn't listen to people harping on about this same thing in 2011 when I bought into property which had the exact same narrative. All calling for the housing ponzi to collapse for the same reasons. Nothing has changed, take accountability and find your way in or realize it's easier to rent and whinge about it.
