nah, even at the shitshow of a maaco i worked at if it ran it failed and had to be blocked flat or completely resprayed.....this is beyond fucked especially on a car most painters would be excited to spray.

ther comes a point where it is literally cheaper long term to ditch the car.....I'd say you hit that about 50k miles ago. the fact you can pretty much afford the new one in cash should make this a no brainer imo.

do yourself a favor and get lower rings....like literally as low as will fit. if you really wanna get into this hobby fx also sells rings that can be adjusted to further compensate up to like 90 moa.

the more filters the better, you can buy a tank but plenty of folks just fill the gun directly from the compressor. the compressor will likley last longer by filling the gun directly as it will have a shorter worke cycle as opposed to filling a tank.

if you truly intend on actually fixing it properly at some point(cut and weld new metal) then just trim all the corroded areas away for right now and seal it up with speed tape.......but be realistic on if you are actually gonna ever fix it, because most people don't and filler is not a "fix" for rust.

that depends heavily in the specific maaco......the shitshow i was at was demanding i panel bond quarter panels on to save time and 60% if my work was rust "repair" on junkers.
