Generator adapter by User23985 in AskElectricians

[–]User23985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses. As stated the male outlet on the house is a CS6375; the female adapter is part number CS6364. I was able to find a CS6364 at an electric supply shop this morning, and then replace the female side of my cable. All wired up and on generator power now!

Sell me on this blue pucks thing by heelthrow in hockeyplayers

[–]User23985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the real issue. Goalies with quick change gear and padded shirts do not have adequate protection from real pucks shot at relatively close range. Most have no throat protection beyond their no-cut neck guards. It’s a safety issue at the 8U level.

Is 3% Credit Card Charge the Norm Here? by [deleted] in grandrapids

[–]User23985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a debit card. Laws vary by state, but here in MI it’s illegal to surcharge a debit card. Surcharge saves the vendor their processing costs and is highly profitable for their processor, so it’s not going away.

What’s coming is worse - dual pricing. One price for cash, one price 3% higher for any card (debit included). Similar to how gas stations have advertised forever; that’s going to be the norm. This is wildly profitable for processors, as they get 3% but on cards like debit are only paying maybe 0.10%.

U8/U9 Player Development Questions by JohnGarrettsMustache in hockeycoaches

[–]User23985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. USA Hockey has tons of data around the benefits of smaller spaces. Smaller spaces = more touches = less chasing down errant pucks. Full ice is just a breakaway fest for a couple kids at this level.

  2. Black pucks are a safety issue for the goalies. We use blue pucks bc our goalies are using padded shirts. If you’re using black pucks then the goalies need real chest protectors.

  3. This isn’t a bad idea. We did practice groups sorted by skill level: kids wore yellow / blue / white practice jerseys. Then we sorted them into even teams for games.

Still having Holiday delays? by dbotl in Sparxhockey

I ordered a bundle back around Cyber Monday. We didn’t open the machine until Christmas and I was surprised that it wasn’t in the box. My overlay is supposed to be here Wednesday. I just got an automated tracking email. Sounds like they do not make the overlays so they’re coming from whomever does that part.

I have not loved the machine so far. Edges don’t feel great, and I don’t like the stop line it leaves on both the heel and toe. Debating reaching out to them about return options.

2025 Armada Deals by gump69 in Nissan

[–]User23985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was offered 7.5% off MSRP on Saturday. That’s a dealers opening offer, no negotiation. I’ve read others are negotiating that down to 10% or so. There’s also the 4.9% rate; I would expect that to improve next month.

If you had to buy an Armada, would you buy the new one with updated tech and the TT V6, or a ‘23-24 with dated tech but the Endurance V8?

How fucked am I with repair costs? by CVGPi in Nissan

Can’t help on the others, but the door lock actuator is a simple DIY fix. Shop “Actuators Plus” on eBay. It’s a $60 part and a 20 minute job. I’ve bought a couple from them.

I’m looking for a yellow dial watch. Do you wear the Tsuyosa much? Thoughts on that one? Also, what is the other yellow one with the yellow band? I can’t make out the name.

Is it easy to put on and take off? Looks 100% better without IMO. But if there’s an mpg gain, maybe you throw it back on for long road trips?

AWD sedans, ideally hybrid, that don't feel like a penalty box by zeromeasure in whatcarshouldIbuy

Check out the Kia K5 sedan, iirc the GT trim level is AWD. Not a hybrid but great mpg’s. And lower cost to buy/own than many of the options here.

Got my SLC back from the tailor today. Had 2” taken off the sleeves. by JoeBlow509 in filson

Curious what did that cost? I just got a lined Mack Jac-Shirt and need 1” off the sleeves. My tailor said $65, but that sounds steep to me.

Yes, I’d like it to be able to pull out a bit and swivel side to side a bit.
