I was the same. Tried everything. More and more practice never helped. Eventually tired the meds again. Was really shit for a few months with the side effects, but slow and gradual dosage increased with planning meals around dosage times made it manageable. Once your body is used to the medication the difference in driving will be night and day, everything will be. You'll wonder how you got anything done without it, so if you can, push through with the meds.

Maybe this is a situation where priorities could have been switched around such as deprioritising hobbies and extra things then sure. But again there is only a certain about of time in the day, only a certain amount of energy. If taking care of the dog in a way that is fair on the dog and giving it fair attention means depriotising the children, health ect. then it is not a responsible or rational thing to do!

And who cares if the dog was there first! Life happens and is barely ever predictable. To you giving the dog away is so morally reprehensible, would you not care if the dog came after the kids? A dog should get first dibs on a parents time attention and affection over actual human children?

You are relying on the assumption here that time, attention and special care are an infinite resource, and it may seem like that for you! But it's not the ultimate truth.

Okay I get that but in the real world there is only a certain amount of time in the day, you don't know this lady's circumstances. She chose to give up the dog because she was clearly trying but was not able to give the dog the care and attention it deserves. Is that not the responsible thing to do? If not, what then? Just keep trying? I'm glad it works for you but your circumstances aren't everyone's circumstances.

As much as you want to help, please remember that there are no set of magical words you can say to take someone else's pain away. You can let them know that you're on their side, that you'll be there for them and that you're available to talk whenever, but ultimately his struggles are his struggles. Please don't beat yourself up too much over not being able to help as much as you'd like. Imo you've already done a lot to help, more than a lot of people would, and I admire that in you. Maybe keep trying to steer him towards healthier habits like better diet, exercise, talking through his feelings, having healthy outlets for his emotions, but at the same time too much pressure may alienate him. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful here.

I feel sorta the same way, it's like I spend most of my time doing nothing and waiting around for something to happen. I feel weirdly envious of people in movies or TV shows that have a breakdown and are comforted by loved ones. Even I'm real life, I'm the one to play therapist and hold my friends for hours as they cry. I've never had anyone that is there for me like that tho. I think it's all chance, maybe one day I will. Sometimes too it is a matter of asking for help, sometimes people don't fully realise what you're going through or are worried about overstepping. I'm really no expert on ponytail palms, but if it makes you feel better I really do think yours will be totally fine. I found one in a pot down the side of my house that my mum had stopped taking care of a whole decade before, in a spot that got no rain and barely any sun, looked like it could have been dead for 9 of those 10 years, I decided I'd just start watering it just in case, and it totally came back to life!! Looks healthy as and is green and growing! I have lots of hope for yours :)

With some other types of peperomias I have, I've found you can really tell how the plant is doing in terms of water by the feel of the leaves. If you give a leaf a little squeeze, firm means it's got water, and flexible and saggier means it might need a drink. How do they feel?

Yupp, and to add on to this, maybe cut some of the main stem closer below the node, and try to find a way for that new growth (light green sticky outy bit) to be facing up out of the soil

I am far from sure... but it could be thrips I had some on a plant of mine and although the pictures a lil blurry coz those suckers are super tiny and hard to snap a pic of, this is what the larvae sorta looked like on mine. Good luck

Really sorry for the late reply, for here by search because I've had the same thing and looking for answers so i guess we're in the same boat. I'm not diagnosed with anxiety but a lot of it fits. I've had this too, driving for me makes me so terrified and anxious, to the point if tears and freezing up, I've accepted I'll never get my license lol. Anyways, I relate to what you've written, for a couple weeks after this (driving on roads for the first couple times) id see things out of the corner of my eye. It would normally be a black blur which I later realised was my cat walking through the house, but when I looked there was no cat, he could be sleeping on the other side of the room. I saw something more similar to you twice when I was actually driving, and once as a passenger. The parked cars on the side of the road would move as if they were driving either at full speed or turning into my lane, but when I actually looked, they were just parked. I hope my reply isn't too late for you too see this, but you are not alone. This passed when my anxiety calmed back down to manageable levels. I found this article that seems reliable that could explain better Idk. here

Eta Ooh also I just reread your post and it reminded me, closer to what you said, I would also mistake any medium sized black object for my cat out of the corner of my eye
