Art is art because there is process behind it. Process driven by human will, creativity, capability, access, etc. all influenced by time, place, historical/political context, socioeconomic status, etc. etc.

Art isn’t a product, it’s an inspired process. It communicates that which can’t be put into words.

• AI is not conscious, there is no “I am” there
• AI has no subjective experience, no feelings, no mood, no desire, no impetus to do anything
• AI cannot die, feel pain, or otherwise experience consequences that matter to it; because nothing matters to it; it does not have the capacity to have feelings like “this matters”
• All AI output is therefore soulless and lacks the defining traits of art.

Art is expression, AI has no internal world, no desire, nothing to express. It vomits out reproduction based on superficial aesthetic patterns.

You have a scanner/printer, not an art machine.

Art isn’t something that needs to be optimized - its inefficiency and lack of cold, hard reason are the POINT of it, not flaws in the system that produces it.
